i got scheduled for citizenship finally. I called IRCC last friday, and the agent was actually caring. She said that she saw my urgent request and that my application is over 8 months, so she'll email the office. 2 business days later, I got an oath scheduled. finally coming to an end. wishing everyone good luck and a speedy process!

Good for you, I really feel like who picks up the call makes a big difference. I think only 1/4 agents picking up these calls are willing to do anything.

yes I think this is what I did as well. after the initial speech, at 1:00, you can click 1 to skip waiting for the longer speech

After almost 1 year from my application date and 7 long months of silence, I finally got my oath invitation!

Below is my complete timeline:

Application submitted: Jul 30 2023 (family of 2)
Physical Presence: 1098 days with travel history
AOR: Aug 31 2023
BG complete: Sep 14
Test invitation: Sep 29
Test taken: Oct 13
Test marked completed: Oct 18
Interview request: Nov 1
In-person interview: Nov 27
LPP complete: Nov 29
GU: June 25 2024
Oath invitation: July 6th for July 19th

Not sure how many July 2023 applicants are still waiting..but good luck to whoever is!

Hello, My wife's citizenship application has been pending for more that one year. She completed her Citizenship Test on Oct-16-2023, which was marked completed in the system on Oct-27-2023. But since then it has been pending with CBSA for security check. Is there any way to nudge somebody to act on it?
Have requested GCMS notes two times (7 months interval) but not much progress except one periodic review of the file in August-2024.
We reached out to local MP office but they couldn't get anything more than the same update.

Anybody faced this situation? would love to hear how you approached it except 'wait and watch'?

Kind of same timelines for me. Test done in October 2023. Have provided fingerprints couple of time. Onlybthis month it shows a little movement with physical presence and language now complete. But back ground and prohibitions are still pending. I am reaching out to MP for first time.
