Congratulations. Did you manage to create your online account to book your biometrics? If you are still having issues with that you can also phone them to book an appointment.
Cannot make an online account for biometrics. Have done the contact us to ask why it won't register. ECAS and GCKey did work first time for us, though.
Can you get SA if they don't request the medical yet, ie just with biometrics? The processes seem really jumbled due to COVID.
Again as far as I can tell - a delay in giving biometrics of some weeks or even a month or two should have no impact, although I can't say for sure. They proceed with assessing and all that in parallel (and honestly, much of the interim time is just waiting anyway while your file is in a queue).
But still, if you can give without a long delay, that's better.
Hi. You should have a date on your BIL as to the last day that you can submit biometrics. I take it you are thinking of waiting for your Medical request so you can do them at the same time? My BIL gave me 90 days to complete my biometrics. Hope this helps. And to answer your first question. Yes they will continue with SA approval whilst they are doing other stuff. Going by information from someone who has gone through the pr process they basically told me that medicals are the last thing that is requested and that is basically done when a decision has been made in principle. I guess if they are not going to give you pr it is pointless requesting a medical.
It varies seemingly by country. Most of the time they ask for medicals early, for some countries only towards the end.

We have to delay biometrics and medical until April, due to shielding for minor surgery. Got the medical request yesterday. Sounds like I could get SA with Mr LL doing biometrics and medical. Unfortunately, they are in different places.
Hi. Congratulations on getting MR. Can you not just book your medical in London and do it at the same time as your biometrics?
We might look into the feasibility of that for the closest medical place to biometrics, but may be hard to juggle. We shall see.
I'm concerned that they asked for the medical straight up because I hope it doesn't 'time out'.
