I doubt interpol would add time, even if part of that later stage, which I doubt (rcmp would already have relevant interpol data). As I understand, interpol is not much more than a database of names/notices (in this context anyway).

AOR : February 2021 (!!!)
CPR : March 2021.

I’m pretty sure the agent(s) worked on her file way before the AOR, because it’s impossible to get a PR in one month (since the AOR).

Sometimes the errors are in info provided. My suspicion is that the aor was actually some other step. And I wouldn't believe it unless I saw the actual aor correspondence.

I haven't received AOR2 but I also got the Dm and pre-arrival on 29th march 2020 and in my SA letter the VO is NVDO..let's see how long it takes to get the PPR..

Same with me , i also not received aor2
But when application received status change to in process again
It means u got aor2
Lets hope our ppr request come soon

I’m in Canada since 9 months, I came with my wife with an eTA, I don’t need a visa. I’m stuck in Canada ( my wife -medically speaking- needs me), that’s why I’m worried, because I can’t work due to the type of my application (Outland = can’t have an Open work permit).

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation I know that it can be very stressful being in the situation that you are in but all I was trying to say is that it doesn't do anyone any good to stress over things that you have no control over. Received AOR two weeks ago and awaiting SA. Called IRCC and the agent said that they are awaiting information province on social assistance check which is the reason for delay in sponsorship decision. I never claimed social assistance and wonder why they are doing that check and how long will that take.

Hi. I think that a social assistance check is standard when they are checking sponsor eligibility. The same way that they check your employment and your taxes. It's nothing to worry about. I received AOR on 05/01/2021 and we only received SA on 02/02/2021. It's just a waiting game be patient and everything will be ok.

Thank you for your response. Just spoke an IRCC agent and they said it is a standard process. Was getting anxious since I saw many applicants receive SA with a couple of days of receiving AOR.

Nope, last Ottawa PPRs were on March 19th, difficult to predict when the next PPR batch will be out. We have a DM since Feb 26th and waiting for PPR.

AOR2 is a formal acknowledgement that Visa office has received your file, sometime you don't get it.
My timeline is really similar with you and also I haven't gotten AOR2 either.

Hey everyone, looking like a lot of people are finally seeing more movement with their applications. And for those who aren't, you will! I got my fingers crossed for you.

I received another email for my app from Hong Kong VO this morning, just trying to determine what it is exactly, as they are often somewhat confusing with the way they word things. I'm pretty sure its simply a "passport request" but we never received the "decision made" email. Are we supposed to get that first or is it not an exact science type of thing?

Some of the wordings they used:
"The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa"
STEP 1: Change in Circumstances:
STEP 2: Passport Requirements – Determine if you need to submit your passport(s)
STEP 3: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

• 1. One copy of this letter
• 2. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2.
• 3. Two (2) photos (passport style)
• 4. If not yet paid, Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) --> that's the thing I paid over $1,000 for last July I assume?
• 5. The height and eye colour (for both eyes) for the Principal Applicant

And then told me where to submit it (closest VO office...which will be nowhere near Hong Kong)... The letter closed with "As you have now received a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) or have been notified to submit your travel documents in preparation for the issuance of a COPR, you are strongly encouraged to use free pre-arrival services funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)"

I don't want to count all my chickens before they hatch, but it sounds like our background checks etc cleared and the rest is just a formality?

yes, it is PPR, and congrats!! you will not get any decision-made emails, if you check the ECAS status you should see DM under PR application.
