Please make sure his employer can support the PR process and give a letter for PR purposes. The closed work permit alone may not be sufficient. Some companies wont provide a supporting letter specific to PR may cause issue again.
He will get the letter. Can he submit the application without mine being withdrawn? He is listed as the dependent on my application.

You can write a letter and submit a webform attaching this letter. When submitting webform you need to provide PR application ID or UCI... that is how the information provided in webform will be transmitted to your PR application.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for your answer, for some reason the option came back after an hour, then disappeared again, then came back again. I got lucky I guess, I ended up being able to send my answer letter!

I believe credential evaluation reports would only apply for education obtained outside of Canada. I also delcared I that I finished my Masters in Canada, but my undergrad in my home country. For the latter, when asked if I have a degree equivalency, I stated no. I think to avoid delays in the processing, I would still comply with the request.

Just curious, what was the prior education requirement of the post-secondary pilot program license you enrolled in, in Canada? Was an undergrad degree not a pre-requisite of the program?
So since my highest foreign diploma is high school diploma, do you think they require an ECA for that? It does not make sense though since my overall highest diploma is in Canada (which means I had to complete secondary school anyway to obtain a post-secondary diploma...). I am on the verge of asking (and paying f**king $230) for an ECA because I don't want to fall short of any deadline they might give but I also don't want to waste a good amount of money if it is not needed in the end...

For the flight school it was a modular program which means you study by yourself and fly at your own pace so there were no requirements except for a secondary school diploma (on this case i did not need an ECA since they recognized my French Baccalaureat)

Thanks for your answers!

I am on a open work permit and assumed that my employment is LMIA exempt and took 50 points for arranged employment. Which are not being considered and even if the employer provides the letter to confirm future employment I will not get the arranged employment points as I am on open wp. Due to this my crs point have fallen below the minimum for that round and eligibility is in review required.
So I am asking your suggestion on this scenario should I withdraw the application and my husband can file if he gets the ITA in next round he is eligible for CEC and have 468 points
If your OWP you being a PGWP or you are LMIA exempt?

I am the PA and have OWP
Then if you can get a letter from your employer that your offer is of indefinite duration and will be valid at least for 1 year after your PR application is approved, you can claim 50 points.

I am confused now, I think you mentioned earlier that Open work Permits are not LIMA exempt and my employer will not do a LIMA. Then how would I get the points for job offer?
Do you mean to say the case type on open work permit states if it’s exempt from LMIA in my case the case type is 20.

Nothing to get confused. The Immigration and Refugee Protection Act states that you can can claim points for arranged employment if:

the offer of employment is made:

  • by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
  • if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
    • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
    • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
    • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident OR
  • if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
    • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
    • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
    • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa

If you meet this criteria:

if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
And you have a OWP, based on SOWP, and you have worked for one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for the same employer, and get get a offer letter that states, that the offer is for at least one year after IRRC issues your permanent resident visa, and the job that is offered is LMIA exempt then you do not need a LMIA.

SO what matters is the nature of your job and whether it is LMIA exempt or not.

@legalfalcon thank you so much for explaining .. further reviewing the notes I see under Integrated Search it is mentioned (LMIA exempt C41 NOC 9999). So looks like I just need to provide a letter to show my employment is permanent.

I am not privy to your documents, you cannot say more than the generalities, which I have explained.

All the best!!
