Yes. Even I was trying from last week but was not able to reach them.. The only different thing today was the option that I chose. Usually I follow the criteria that I want to know the processing of my file, today I just pressed 3-4-1-0. and I spoke to an agent after almost 34-35 minutes.

Just noticed that the biometrics field on my profile got updated, but didn't get any email notification.
I gave my biometrics last year for my work permit extension.

I managed to talk to IRCC agent today... was informed Eligibility passed..background passed criminality passed ... only last step is pending... security check.... how much time does security clearance take for std. Cases???

AOR 9th July
@legalfalcon ....please help. Thanks.

Usually the security is a fairly quick process and takes 2-5 weeks. However, some applicants who are in for enhanced security screening, it can take a long time.

Seem like you are almost there. No need to worry.

To read on security and the security screening manual see https://bit.ly/2HjZKeK

Not all applications will have to go through CBSA or CSIS for security clearance. Security can be passed by IRCC itself as stated in the security screening manual "IRCC officer's review applications to ensure that the applications are complete to make admissibility and eligibility decisions. When warranted officer's refer applications in accordance with instructions provided in the security screening manual to CBSA and other screening partners. Taking into consideration all available information, the officer's decide whether or not to issue TRV to PR visas."

Most security checks are done within 1 month; longer up to 1 to 2 years if in enhanced screening.

Agents are available Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 4:00pm local time. They are not available on weekends or statutory holidays. Dial 1-888-242-2100. After the recorded introduction, you will be asked to choose a menu option.

When the Client Support Centre is experiencing a high volume of calls, and no agents are available, your call will be disconnected. You will not be put on hold to wait for the next available agent. When you do get through to an agent, always make note of the date and time, the agent’s name and identification number, and the exact information they provide.

All calls are logged into GCMS, which facilitates any subsequent follow-up calls.

@caipsnotes
Nowadays, a lot of applicants observed in GCMS notes that Eligibility is PASSED (not Recommend Pass) but last note was from case analyst, not officer.

Do you think this a new trend that as far as just Eligibility is concerned, case analyst is taking the decision to write PASSED, (unless there is a review required situation), and Officer is only giving the final approval comments once all checks are complete?

Else, what could be the reasoning behind Eligibility PASSED but no officer comments?

Did anyone of you who submitted their application through an attorney got call for biometrics ,??? And if so the service centre they choose is from which area ?? Address of attorney or the current residing address of the client ?? Kindly reply ..thanks
Yes, I did. They first call your attorney from Service Canada of your attorney's location. And then your attorney will have to give your contact number and your location and then you will get another call from your location SC to schedule the date.

Hi guys i got rcmp criminal record check request in my profile , my AOR is july 24th. My medicals says passed,
but my eligibility says that 'we are reviewing your eligibility' why is that? Is that because of rcmp request?
