Okk, the agent said I cleared medical and eligibility . I asked it twice and she said yes eligibility is passed. Not sure it may be recommended pass as you have suggested .
As long as it is recommended passed, or passed, it is a good news. However, to be exactly sure, you will have to check your GCMS notes or just wait.

That's great. Another tip to be sure it's passed by an officer is to see if Security screening has started. You can raise a web form and if the response indicates/implies it's underway then your Eligibility is conclusively passed. No need to request GCMS

Hello @legalfalcon , how much time does it take for the criminality check to be complete, after it begins? Please help.
The criminality is done early in the process based on your PCCs and is passed along with your R10. However, if you are an inland applicant and you have not yet provided your RCMP PCC or if your biometrics are not provided, the criminality will continue to show in progress.

Also, if you have a prior criminal conviction or record, even if it is not serious criminality, they will have to be evaluated by a different division of IRCC, and partner agencies like RCMP to give a decision on it.

Criminality checks consist mainly of examining the information that accompanies an application, which includes a police certificate (PCC) from all countries where the applicant has lived for more than six months. Do I need to get a police certificate for my time in Canada? IRCC does background check for all inland applicants and they will ask explicitly for Canadian PCC if needed. Usually this is reviewed at the R10 Completeness Check stage or before Review of eligibility starts. (CEC and inland applicants require a RCMP PCC and as a result the criminality stage will not be marked passed until the RCMP report is filed with IRCC). To save some processing time the RCMP PCC can be submitted along with the initial application and it can reduce processing time by a few weeks.
