Hi Guys,
I'm new here, but here's my story. I married my wife in 2003, moved here in Canada August 2017. Came in as a visitor and overstayed my status (hindsight is 20/20...)

Timeline:
Inland app FedEx'ed July 29th
Received on July 30th Mississauga, ON
Aor on August 30th

No OWP application due to being out of status.

Received Subsection 44(1) on Sep 24th for a interview Oct 09...

Awaiting Medical Request.

Hi! I just want to share my application timeline with you guys!
Our application was received on July 24th, and AOR on August 30th.
Also, I linked my OWP on September 19th.
I'm still waiting for the approval of the OWP.
I hope I can get it approved soon :/

Patience is key :) Lots of people from June still haven't got their OWP approved. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer though.

Hi guys,
For those of you that have been able to link your PR and/or OWP application to your online account, what does your "current status" say? Both of mine say submitted. I'm just curious if this is normal.
Thanks.

I received an approval for my Work Permit this morning - Yay!

On another note, are we eligible to apply for a TRV? I'm from a visa-requiring country but there is a question asking if "I applied for permanent residence and was found eligible (first stage approval) under one of the following classes:
  • Spouse or Common-law Partner in Canada..
What does it mean by found eligible? I sent my application but I have no updates yet -- what indicates first stage approval?

My understanding you have to deemed eligible for PR some requirements have to be met not only your sponsor!
