Today, I finally received the invitation to the oath ceremony next week.

Hope every waiting applicant get her/his invitation soon.

So we're sure my husbands application is non routine now. How long will it take? He did the interview and test on march13 2020 and they asked for translated stamps of passport and we sent it on march 15 2020 and till now nothing... when do you guys think we could expect ANYTHING from them?!

WTH? This is ridiculous. Has your husband ever applied for GCMS notes? If no, that's the first thing he should do now. It would give at least a minimal amount of insight as to where the application is. If interview was completed more than almost 1.5 years ago, he should have had citizenship by now.

What is the status of Language, Prohibitions, Physical Presence, Citizenship Test and Background Checks on the New Citizenship status Dashboard ?

Congratulations. In the spreadsheet it's mentioned that your first oath was originally scheduled on Feb and then cancelled. What happened? Were you outside Canada? I am trying to fathom the length between DM and oath update. 8 months is way too long

This was exactly my situation, a routine application could take this much time easily. It's most likely BG check or residency verification that pending.
I completed my test and interview on March 5, 2020. Just got scheduled for Oath next month.
In my case it was BG was pending, so not all the blame on IRCC

I don't know what happened or why is the reason for the cancellation in Feb.
I was in Canada.
I sent a message via web form and they replied that I have to wait.
probably there is a huge backlog in the office of Montreal. probably because it serves a huge area and large number of applicants.

No they are prioritizing oath ceremonies for Afghan refugees and only processing applications from Afghanistan

Do you have reference for this info ?
Are the Afghan refugees coming only to Montreal? because I see the delay in Oath Ceremony is in Montreal office more than any other office in Canada.
And the refugees should spend time before the Oath Ceremony like we spent three years before sending an application.

I know! We've been stressing over this situation for the past year! We contacted again for the 5th time our MP and she told us there's nothing that they can do and that the application is non routine, she also saud that they received the urgent processing request that we sent like 2 months ago and have not made a decision on it yet lol
So we are now at this point.
Everything on the ecas shows completed since march 10/2020 except for the physical presence is in progress, ceremony not started.. what do u think ?

Yeah so the application is stuck in residency checks. Has your husband travelled extensively during the eligibility period?

Has he travelled a lot outside Canada? there is definitely reasons to believe that IRCC has grounds to scrutinize his physical presence more than a regular applicant.
