yeah I have no idea if mine is good documentation lol I got married in 2016 of September and didn't submit the application until September 2018. Civil Wedding in Argentina with no family members there. We had two witnesses that we met through airbnb and translator for me. Letter of Support from my parents acknowledging our marriage. Everything else I submitted was pretty straight forward and standard, pictures, communication, receipts and all that according to the lawyer. I also went to see her in Peru 2 times before submitting the application.

i think a lot of you didn't need interview either.
no such thing as good documentation, its all up to the person personal discretion.. you might have everything straght and forward but if the person wants to request interview or additional documents he/she has every right to.. also 6month mark are the only lucky ones, like winning the lottery

Is your child a Canadian citizen and they are asking for proof of Canadian citizen? It took me 5 months to get our first child's, born abroad, proof of Canadian citizenship. We then included it in the application. Try get it as soon as you can because its long wait. If you have a change in family structure with a newborn, then you would need to inform them after birth

Thanks for answering, you’re right, i will applied for my child’s proof of citizenship as soon as possible.

My wife is from Venezuela, Sydney receieved our application September 6, 2018. Based on your timeline, I take it took less than 12 months? Our application been in Mexico since March 1, 2019. On July 6, 2019 was the 10 month mark. August coming soons and still nothing from Mexico. My wife passport expires in mid April 2020 and she needs to leave Venezuela by October 2019. Otherwise Venezuela won't let her leave the country.

I have been very concern with the passport thing. Any experience with this with your family?
Hello, there's nothing to do but wait. My guess is that in August you will get PPR, we got it like 17 days before the 11 months, don't worry about the passport yet, but if October approaches, buy her a ticket and get her out of Venezuela
My wife's passport expires in November 2019 and she got the PPR in June even though she had less than 6 months of validity so I don't think IRCC cares about the 6 months, besides your wife is not coming to visit, she is moving here
Mexico is evaluating your wife, so just think a bit about her situation: has she lived in the same address her whole life ? Any travels ? I ask this because my wife didn't travel and lived her whole life in the same address, and we got the background check start notification one day and the following day, we got decision made on ECAS, so it was a very straight forward case
