Hi Guys,

Need your help and suggestion. My wife submitted her passport to NDVO via VFS on Nov 19th, and the VFS tracker website was showing the file is under process since Nov 21st. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the passport back with the stamp?

Regards,

Ravi Darji.
Ravi Ji I read many got files PPT back ina week , others got PPT in 2 weeks , rare cases I read it took a month. Don't book a ticket unless you have PPT in hand or book with ALL REASONs cancellation insurance. I did that once here in Canada , Manulife did it. At 11th hour I told them I cant travel as my dog is sick :) they refunded me full money , no more Qs were asked..Trust me :) !!

after a little over 4 months of waiting, I finally got a response. My application was returned to me becuase of a missing signature.

Just wondering what kind of a person one has to be to have my file on hold for 4 months and instead of requesting an additional form like many others, they decide to return it. I guess they're just doing their job. oh well.
This is really sad! I'm so sorry to hear about this. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now. Please try and submit again and go through it as many times as you can to be sure you're not missing anything. Also, cross-check with all the instructions on their website. Remember some forms have been updated since you last applied and you now have to do biometrics capturing. The good thing is not all forms are invalid so you can still use some of the returned forms and certainly some of the supporting documents you have. Once again I'm sorry to hear about this. Take heart!

Thank you so much for your sweet response. It is very unfortunate that 4 months of my process time had been wasted till the officer finally determined that I am missing a signature. I dont understand why it is so hard to spot a blank signature 4 months ago, by this time I might have had my aor. thank you so much ! I wasnt aware some forms have changed again.

I'm really sorry to hear that. How did they inform you of returned application? or you just got your file returned in post?

Best is to gather all documentation ASAP and reset your minds about this past application before resubmitting.

Hey hope someone can confirm if my experience is not too out of the norm and hopefully ease my worries...my spouse (PA) hasn't received a medical request yet or an e-mail that his file has been transferred. The timeline is as followed:
Application received: July 26th
Application Processing: Nov 16th
AOR: Nov 21st
SA: Nov 27th
Radio Silence from then on.
Is this normal or should I be concerned?

You don’t have to be worried, I’m in the same like you. My file was transferred more than a month ago and only silence since then. No medicals yet.

You give me hope. Mine was received Jul 24th, no AOR yet. I called last week and was given a temporary file number that starts with X.

I hope I get some form of confirmation from CIC soon.
Who did you call to get temporary file number? I'm still waiting for mine too. submitted the application first week of September 2018 and still nothing. My lawyer submitted.
