July 26th application,haven't heard anything yet so I called CIC this morning. The (very nice) lady couldn't find trace of our application in the system, which she says means our envelope hasn't been opened yet. She said it's still early and they only need some more time.

How did you check the sponsor's ecas and what sponsors information did you provide. ?

Could you please provide the URL (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do is it the same?). As a sponsor i tried with my UCI, Lastname ,DOB and Country of birth. It is not working

Im in the same boat as you, but I'm July 19th. I think we just have to keep waiting. . . I know that is very hard to do but there are plenty of people still in July waiting who have an earlier and longer July date than us.

It displays decision made, but i did not receive the SA email, should I call the IRCC and ask them or wait for the email?

1. We received your application to sponsor XYZ on July 16, 2018.
2. We started processing your application on September 25, 2018.
3. We sent you correspondence on September 28, 2018 about the decision on your application.

There are some applications that take longer than usual to start rolling. It's still really part of the 12-month processing period that they aim for. Try asking for your temporary file number. You can use that number to check on GCKey and ECAS.

Ours said "Decision Made" for a few days before we received it. You can call if you want to, but we just patiently waited and I knew it would come eventually. I think they are just being slow about sending emails/updating GCKEY.

There could be several reasons why you can't connect. Just disregard the X part right away because that will not be part of your application number once it becomes permanent. Just input F0006***** as your application number. Also, the number of applicants for GCKey should be at least 2 (sponsor+PA). Try different combinations. If you still cannot connect, it may mean that your application is not activated yet. Please contact IRCC to check for the latest staus of it.

I tried calling them today, and as usual could not talk to call centre representative. High number of calls.

I have a friend who will be landing as a PR in March 2019 and once he gets a survival job, he wants to initiate sponsorship for his wife, so after getting his 1st pay slip, can he initiate family class sponsorship - outland with his pay stub, a letter from his employer and proof of funds, i.e. a fixed deposit in India of amount equivalent to 14k-15k CAD, provided all other docs are ready, kindly guide..

called CIC yesterday, they representative was a nice guy took all my information, came up with good news that my application was approved few hours before I called and given me the file number which start with F and told will get the email soon. It has been more than a day I don see any email (none of us) I was able to do ECAS/Link to GCKey today though. My application was reached to Sydney,NS on July27.
