Hello Everyone,

The email with the test date PDF were unnaturally scanned and not very sharp (other documents I have received from IRCC are sharp and more convincing). The PDF's came horizontally scanned(!!) and the first two pages were letter while the last (3rd) page was legal size. Is this normal? Email was sent from: IRCC.DNCitWINScheduling-ConvocationWINCitRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Is this address familiar to anyone? Its not the same address that sent other correspondence (such as the AOR).

Also, no mention of faster processing as requested for my son's entry into the Canadian Armed Forces so I am guessing that this was rejected?

Regards,
Rick

Applying from Mississagua! But I have a cousin with criminal record who applied a month after I sent my application and surprisingly he got a date for the test !
Like why what when how ???
He also lives in mississagua so I’m kinda mad !!

@Hana Diabas - that is the darkest thing I have heard, ever.

Only thing I can think of, is that if your cousin had declared the record, that allowed faster processing (maybe it was not a serious crime) as they already had all the information on your cousin. If he had not declared it, maybe the Immigration Officer is eager to meet him/her? :)

I know it sounds crazy but in today's world crazy is the "norm". Hopefully you get your date soon!

Regards,
Rick

Finally got my test invite for March 20th in Fort McMurray, That's a relief since now i don't have to travel to Edmonton for that.

Most probably my interview will happen right after test.

yes, for sure you'll have the interview right after test. Sometimes, the oath ceremony happens after the test and interview too.

Good luck on your test.

Hi Charmaine,

Do you know if there is an update in ecas after the test invite is sent out? I have no updated status in my ecas.

Hi! Mine appeared the next day. Sometimes, it depends on the clerk/ IO that handles your file. Some are very efficient in updating ECAS, some are not. But if you have the letter of invite, that should be good.

Hello Rick,

I received my test invitation with the same email address that you've mentioned above so I don't think there's anything to be worried about. Moreover, you'll see the test invitation on your ECAS in a few business days.
Call the IRCC and confirm with them your test date if that would give you some relief.

Unfortunately, I don't know how the faster processing requests work. Hopefully someone with experience in that regard can give you some insight on it.

Best of luck!
