Hi, Is there a fee for finger printing? My mom who applied last July got a finger printing letter in her email dated Dec 4 but we just saw it now since she doesn't check her email at all and thinking that any correspondence will be by mail.

I had my test & interview today in Edmonton. All went smoothly but there was a line up to walk in. They open the door exactly at the time of the appointment (it was 8:15am for me). After the test my interview came up fairly fast, the officer was very pleasant, told me I passed with a score of 19/20 (that one question will bug me forever) and I have to sign a couple docs, answered a few questions about my job, partner, trips and that's it. Very smooth process, the officer said if all is fine with my file, the next step is there oath!

good luck all.

Hi! I was there too! I was wearing a red coat. Don’t know if you noticed. The man on the far right interviewed me.

Congratulations! See you probably at the oath ceremony.

Evening all,

I did my test today at Scarborough. It went very smoothly, 20/20. The questions were extremely easy and I knew long ago that I probably was over prepared for it lol, but better safe than sorry

However, my interview threw me a curveball. The officer immediately cut to the chase and informed me that there was a discrepancy in my days outside Canada, namely the one where I had made a day trip to the US side of Niagara in 2016. I noted it in the physical presence calculator as 1sep while their records indicated 22sep. I wasn’t in a position to clarify because we couldn’t find either stamp in my passport. She highlighted it is an issue because if she were to assume I was out of the country between 1-22sep, it would mean I was cutting it very close to the minimum required 1095days. She handed me a form to be sent along with coloured photocopies of all the pages in my passports and anything that can verify when I made that trip to Niagara ASAP. She said she’ll hold my application status in the meanwhile but for obvious reasons cannot tell me what the next steps are until she gets my letter. I reached home and checked my past credit card statements and found I had indeed made the trip on 22sep (d’oh!!!) with grey hound and then returned by mega bus that day between Toronto-Niagara. I can find the grey hound tickets but not the megabus. I feel so stupid because when I think about it now, I probably put 1sept as a place holder and then just forgot about it. It just became convenient and I assumed I must have made the trip because it was the labour day weekend. Anyways, I’ll send out whatever I have tomorrow and inform them that I did indeed noted that particular date wrongly.

Otherwise, while I was waiting, I overheard one of the officers tell someone to expect the oath letter and ceremony anytime between Feb-July and that they will receive it in the same way as they did the test invite. That person mentioned he received it by regular mail, so she told him to expect it that way too.

I Can’t beleive I screwed myself like this, i feel like breaking something lol. So I’m heading down to the gym and punch the bag for a bit. In anycase, it’s just a delay, I’m glad she didn’t tell me she was forced to reject it. I had a similar hiccup on my past job experience for my PR too, but with gods grace it all worked out fine

I’ll update you when I know more

Best of luck to everyone else!

All team Calgary that has DM in Dec are still waiting.
We hope to receive Oath ceremony Invite between
now and end of February,2019.
Hope to see you all during the ceremony.
Good luck.

Hi, I am also a Toronto applicant. I have been checking this forum quite a few times a day since New Year. It seems there weren't many GTA applicants who recently received Test Invite. This is true not only for July applicants, but also for June, May, and April applicants if you check their threads. I am hoping we will start receiving Test Invite toward end of Jan. or early Feb. for the actually Test in late Feb. or Mar. We can only keep our fingers crossed.
