Did you get a fast track process for your application? that was fast though?
My application has the same timeline with this applicant.
I got Decision made on Dec 21(My timeline was 4months 22days)
Calgary is very fast in terms of processing.
Most of my friends that submitted in Aug, have test date for January.
Nobody is fast-tracking any application.
Good luck.

Once IRCC Calgary have the #s of oath takers(In Calgary around 90 new citizens/batch), then we shall get the oath ceremony letter.
You can receive this letter within the next few weeks.
Good luck.

Hi,
My citizenship application was receive on July 12, 2018. My application was started processing on Oct 9 2018 and have not heard back any response since then.
Is this normal ?

No one ever asked to translate, it is not mentioned anywhere. I've been to 30 countries with 20 different languages with this passport and no one ever asked for translation.

My wife and kids applied for the Citizenship last year and they got it in June this year. When my wife went for the citizenship test/interview the officer asked her to translate the passport visa stamps and send the documents to her. You are correct by saying that nowhere it's mentioned that the applicants need to produce translated copies of passport pages, and the fact that the CIC has access to CBSA records it may not add value by asking for translated copies of the passport pages. It does, however, will make a difference if you have stayed outside of Canada for more than 183 days as CIC would want to know where you resided during the application period.

I got my test invite. The test is on Jan 16...
Please update my details I am on row 76. Thanks

Others who have already written test - please help in understanding how important it is to remember all the dates and years in Canadian History. I have read it a couple of times but still get confused.

Appreciate the recommendations.

Most likely you will not see any dates in the exam.If you like remember few dates that you can say they are really important and present a milestone (like the Canada day 1867). The questions that I have were extremely easy and I guess I could have passed (but not scoring 20/20) without even studying the book, but all depend on what you already know about Canada.

Status changed to Decision made(Dec 25). Just saw the update. Please update line # 17

Merry Christmas to all of you and wish you good luck.

Updated, thanks

Have a question around the oath ceremony. My son is away in BC attending university when the oath ceremony notification package will arrive for us as a family here in Calgary. Is he expected to travel to Calgary for this ceremony or are other alternative options available for such cases.

A FP request can occur at any point in the process. So yes, and it has nothing to do with your AOR.
thanks for information

You should notify them of his inability to attend and a new date will be given to him.
Good luck
