That's just the number the calculator gave me, considering the time I was in Canada before I got PR. I believe that's where I put in my application. Looking at the spreadsheet it doesn't seem uncommon.
Hmm. Cool - I thought at first that the .5 was a quirk in the Excel. Thank you for confirming that it isnt.

Have a great long weekend KayTea! :)

As long as there is no gap it should be fine but why not just explain it as you were unemployed...I mean I m no expert but If it would be me I would be completely honest to avoid any confusion....good luck

Hi Pal,

If your form entry matches your ROE (Record of Employment) from the MSCA (My Service Canada Account), that would be the best most accurate way to fill the form for employment in Canada. For employment outside Canada, please use the dates from your resignation, termination, service forms / letters.

As you will notice, clicking the side arrow, opens up the calendar and you can select a date, though the final "visible" format of the field is YYYY-MM.

I always tend lto err on the side of caution with government agencies - I always ensure that everything matches and has an audit trail, if required. I know its a bit paranoid but I would suggest this method to ensure 100% clarity.

I hope this helps. If I did not answer your question completely or correctly or you need some other clarification, please do let me know.

hey, another question about question number 10 actually...
should she list all places she been to even if it's for 4 weeks for vacation??? cos it's only talking about "places you lived" then it talks about a period in another country of more than 183 days.... so which is it?? cos what if she traveled outside of canada and stayed at a hotel...
my 2 cents. Pls correct me if I am wrong !!!

Q. 10 is for addresses in which one stays in the eligibility period.
If a person goes on vacation for a month in this time, he/ she still lives in this location. In my opinion, mentioning the address where one goes on vacation is not needed. I did the same for my case. I have been to US a number of times for a week during my period, and I did not mentioned addressed in this question.

However, all those details when one is out of Canada during eligibility period MUST be mentioned in the physical presence form.

Another question many people ask is about Q. 9.c
This is relevant for people who were out of Canada during eligibility period and that time is considered in the Physical presence during that time.
This is applicable ONLY to people who are crown servant family member or crown servant applicant. People who are in jobs that does not fall into this category need not fill this form.

Any comments on this ? or I have screwed my application :oops::oops:

I have a question my degrees that I have done in Switzerland and England do not mention that the language was english but I m guessing its commonsense that they were done in English, does anyone have anything to say abt that...
You will need to get a letter from your university stating that the medium of language was English for your degree courses.
CIC does not work with "commonsense", or else a lot of problems I had collecting the documents would be solved.

All the best.

I did not fill in that form either, but I did attach a cover letter to say I'm not filling it in because It's not applicable to my situation. Even if you didn't I honestly don't think they're going to refuse your application for it. They are aware that it's not applicable to most applicants.

If the embassy has your IELTS results, they will get it from your PR records - no worries. If you have done IELTS, then it doesnt matter if your education was english or not. (Even if it is, you have to take the IELTS - LOL - so its wierd that way). I believe it will be quite okay for you. Safe - is my call.

Cheers :)
Hi Maverick,
In my opinion, CIC wont be collecting records from any other databases.
I also had the same situation where I gave my IELTS, and they submitted the results directly to CIC for PR process.
Now at the Citizenship time, I did not had any access to those records. For that, a lot of people and Immigration consultants recommended to get a letter from college stating medium of instruction.

ofcourse. If you select "No" in Q9.c, you wont be asked to fill this form.
Only if you select "Yes", you will need to fill this up.

Question is, in what cases this is applicable and many people (including me at the beginning) are confused at this.

if you see the online form, it accepts the entire date, but displays only YYYY-MM format.
So i guess if your 10-15 days fall within same month, it should not be a big deal. But if they cross the month, you should fill out everything to maintain sequence.

You are fine. I didn't fill in the form either as it didn't apply to me. Many here also just write N/A on the form and send it with the application.
