I got my AOR on JULY 8TH. I have a doubt. I was working back in India and moved to the USA after getting married. Now I have a gap of 4 yrs. Will this be a roadblock in getting PR?

Nope, as long as you mention it in personal history as unemployed.

Got AOR in July. does the application process stop till you don't get your medical done? We have to wait a week as the doctor is not available. Wondering if they continue processing till the medicinal results come in ?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone experience delays in processing PR applications these days?


In my case, I have received an ITA on 25th of June.
Then, I have submitted my PR application on 24th of July.(AOR)

Still no any updates thereafter...Just getting curious....

Anyone in my bucket?

Medical passed on 17th Aug
Not sure what IP1 is. Still waiting any update from CIC.

It has been complete silence since Aug 28.

Hi everyone, I am AOR july 18 from Pretoria office and still waiting for PPR. Any one from Pretoria still waiting as well? all I get is your file is in queue awaiting officer review. With a not complicated application I don't understand why it's taking sooo long to review.... Will be a year next month . Just want to know is this is a common thing these days? my CIC account updated I April and my BG changed to N/A after paying the PR fees.

Since they are 3 stages of BG N/A, I am unable to say which one this was because ii don't check my account often (a bit depressing to check with no updates...). Thanks .
