Download a virtual caller app and buy a Canadian number. I use cloud sim. Then call this number, you'll always get through to an agent.

Hey @tobs,
Just got off the phone with an agent, he was nice we had a good talk. However, he didn't have any added value. He just stated that the officer still have to review my file then a final decision will be made accordingly. However, the interesting thing is that when i said i have ordered notes and came to know that i am RR for POF and to address that issue i have proactively sent an LOE, he said: "sir it's true and we have received all your docs but you shouldn't have done that since you were not asked to do so". Then he said, your application status is what you see online on the CIC website.
Moreover, they seem to Record all email correspondences or all the CSE's raised because he said sir: "you were replied on the 10 of JAN and 20 of Feb about your eligibility status, so you already know the status"
So don't use CSE much unless you want to send LOE's or change of address and such stuff. (my opinion)

All in all, it was a waste of my time. (24 min in the queue).
Note: you can call the using google hangouts application (toll free) if you are outside Canada on: +1 613 944 4000 and just follow the operator and press the following options 1-1-1-1-1-2-2-1-0
if you are inside Canada or outside Canada and have a virtual caller application (toll included) as @tobs mentioned above on: +1 888 242 2100

Hi Everyone,

Looks like I am a late joiner to this group.
AOR on 17 July 2018
Medicals passed
No update since September 2018. Have ordered GCMS notes last month and still waiting for it. Background check hasn't started and visa office said that Eligibility hasn't started. Why would it be delayed so much? Has been 8 months now.
I had additional document request for IELTS marklist in August and same was submitted.

Visa office is in Ottawa

Contacted customer support last week and they sent a message to visa office. Got a reply from Ottawa VO stafing additional verification is required and hence the delay.

Sent a direct mail on 2/3/2019 to VO stating that I want to add my spouse and with some forms filled as instructed by reply to a webform which was raised. 10 business days later, no reply for that as well. What should I expect next? The wait seems never ending
@tobs any thoughts?

Okay. i's possible that it reverted to not started after the transfer to Montreal. I assume it was from CIO it was transferred. The good news is that July AOR's in Montreal have been getting PPRs this month. So you should get yours soon. Have you checked the Montreal thread started by @cansha ?

@tobs Yes I have been checking Montreal VO processing thread as well. Is there something I could do apart from waiting??

Did you specifically ask if your eligibility was passed?
Cos they don't provide information unless you ask them direct questions.

Does Ralph still replies to emails, I have emailed him during my 4th month. My application is in RR for POF. I have submitted new docs via CSE back in December, after that I have emailed them twice and all they said was the new documents are added to my application, it is waiting to be reviewed by an officer and they cannot confirm when my file will be ready for finalization. There has been no movement, no ghost update. Will emailing Ralph helps? If so can I draft a new email or I'll just reply to my previous one? I am not sure about ordering another set of GCMS notes at this time.

Nope i asked about the status :/ damn i should have been more specific.
Will call again today
