You can order GCMS notes after 90 days. There is no point in calling CIC unless your application has not progressed after 6 months.

Be patient it hasn’t even been 2 months yet.
I am calling them to check my Visa office. My LVO's processing speed is very slow. So wishing my application to be processed in Ottawa VO :D

I called IRCC and the agent said that you have passed the medical. Your eligibility is being checked and your background checks have not started yet.

What exactly does this mean? Any ideas?

It depends on the reason for ordering the notes, if a person wants to know exactly where there application is at for the sake of curiosity I’d say go for it.

However if it’s because that person thinks they should have PPR because someone else got it in 40 days and/or it will speed my application up then it’s a waste of time (and money) IMO to order them at this stage with a July 2018 AoR.

There are so many posts on this forum along the lines of “I’ve been in IP1 for 5 weeks should I order GCMS notes, is my application stuck etc” but ultimately we all know most applications are done within 6 months. The lucky few who get through quickly in 45 days are the rare exception not the norm unfortunately!
I agree completely

Hi all, I received AoR on the 20th of July and passed medicals on the 10th of August. My background check still hasn't started so I'm following for updates here. Anyone who passed their medicals around the 10th of August please post updates on background check.

My AOR is July24th, MEP Aug10th, but no update since then. I am not gonna worry until it's 3 months since AOR.

Hello folks,

Some latest FSW-Inland stats:

Average number of days to PPR since March AOR = 60
Average number of days to PPR since May AOR = 42

Data sample size = 28 (very small, I know),
The data source is MyImmitracker.

Cheers,

In case this helps anyone in the forum

AOR 21 Feb
PPR 3 Aug
Visa 27 Aug (Issued at CPC-Ottawa)
FSW-O-India (VFS Delhi)

No GCMS notes ordered, no ghost updates, 1 ADR (PCC), Meds redone after expiry, no phone calls/emails to CIC, no agents/lawyers used.

Stay calm folks!

Got the "Ready for Visa" email today. Guessing this is PPR (just doesn't say PPR anywhere) - but YAY nonetheless ;)

Although on my profile it still shows as IP2 (Processing background check). Also no ghost update or anything. IP2 email (profile updated) and CPCO email today

Anyone else in the same boat?
