Incorrect. In this forum, AOR2 refers to acknowledge of receipt 2, also known as a line on ecas saying "we started processing your application on...". From this moment, the local VO starts working on the application. That is AOR2.

would they challenge the genuine of marriage when i get to AOR2 ?

That is exactly when they do that. Once the application reaches the visa office, they check for missing documents or anything they need to continue with the process. For example, the proper marriage certificate, or the right birth certificate. If everything is there and they don't really need anything, they start assessing the eligibility, which means they will decide if they think the relationship is genuine. If they have concerns, they will schedule an interview. If their assessment is positive, they will proceed with doing other parts of the process, like criminality, background check, security checks, etc.

wah.. what have they been doing for months after receiving my app???? They are just starting to check my docs.... Question, I was reading the other threads that people do send tons of supporting to prove their marriage, but I just submitted what they ask for such as joint account, marriage cert and no photos nor tel-conversiaon records. We have been married for 10years with 2kids... would these be enough proofs ?

anyone
what is the d/c b/n GCKEY and ECAS? am i the one who can choose from them or else they are application specific?
Can someone have both of them?
i created GCKEY using the information provided on the very first email.
but in most places and spreadsheets people used the word ECAS.

If those were the instructions from the checklist, then you are okay. I believe the other condition was being the first marriage. In case they need more proof of relationship, they will ask you for that. If you haven't had any updates of your application, it can be because either they don't update GCkey or they just haven't been working on it.

Ecas is an online tool that you can use, very basic but usually updated more accurately. There you can check the status of your application.

file transfer email (if you're lucky enough to receive one) comes a few weeks after ECAS IP.

Firstly, I answered the question that was asked. Secondly, it is hard to fully understand what you mean when you are using that low level of English. The requirements to not submit more proof of relationship are:
1. Being living together.
2. Having at least one child together.
3. Being the first marriage for both.
4. Being married for at least 2 years.
Having a kid does not prove a relationship is genuine. Many applications are refused even though the couple has a child together. Even if the couple meets all the 4 requirements to not provide more proof of relationship, CIC can still ask for proof of relationship.

Hello everyone...I sponsored my wife, her background check is showing as "Not Applicable". Is this normal? If yes, then what will be the next step?
Thanks for your help!

Her timeline is as follows:

Application received: 7th Jul
AOR1: 15th Aug
Medical: 22nd Aug
PCC and Schedule A: 31st Aug
Additional information: 7th Sept
AOR2 (New Delhi): 10th Oct

Looking at the current trend with NDVO office, you may have to wait until Jan/Feb to see next update (BGC changing to In Process). you can follow NDVO applicants updates on below thread and spreadsheet

HI, Can you confirm this is AOR2
This is the sponsor approval letter, not AOR2. You will only get AOR2 once your file has been sent to your visa office.

but in your signature you have file transfer and AOR2 on the same date.
Not on the same date. File transfer was September 15th, AOR2 was September 19th.
Secondly, at what stage do you suspect they will assess and approve of genuine relationship?
Right after the application reaches the visa office and they start processing it.

I didnt get any email from VO but my status on ECAS changed to We are processing your application. Is this AOR2 and is it normal?
