I just got an email, because I put in an enquiry asking about my application. They said it was returned with a letter of explanation. I have no idea why, because I followed everything to a T. Organized it all so well... but I'm wondering, do I need to pay the fee all over again? I just don't understand what could possibly be missing...
Sorry to hear that but at least its a kind of a temporary relieve from the stress of waiting for an answer.
I did the same, organized my documents based on the checklist order.I called them today heard it was returned and when I got home I found my application package in my mailbox, the letter said the checklist form should be the June/2017 version, as i submitted the the older version (Dec/2016).
In the checklist which i submitted they highlighted Country Specific Requirement, my spouse lives in Saudi Arabia and there are two forms which as of June/2017 must be included in the application, they also highlighted the PHOTO section saying the PA photos were not up to the required standards.
I'll submit the correct forms this time and let my spouse go to a different studio and have another photo done based on the standards required, then resubmit the application without paying additional fees because the application was returned not refused which means it hasn't been processed yet, if its processed and refused then you'll have to pay the $75 processing fee if you want to reapply.
I know its frustrating and time is a factor in that frustration yet i'm glad i haven't lost more than a month and a half. i'll remain optimistic until my spouse gets here. Good luck to all of you who got there AOR or and those who haven't yet.
