Did any one send their application on or after 15 july?

If so, did you use the new checklist?
Also, if you did use the new check list, did you fill out a use of representative (IMM 5476) for the sponsor?

We used the new checklist. And yes just to be on the safe side we submitted IMM5476 with my wife (sponsor) being the representative. I mean it works well since my wife can call and ask about any updates on my part of the application and no time delays from their side asking for this form, if it was a required form.

my application was sent in June but got returned in July due to lack of proof of relationship. When I sent it back, I did send it with the new checklist but didn't know anything about the IMM 5476 (no excuses). I was reading more about it and on the guide it says, you only need IMM 5476 if you're using you're canada contact address on IMM 0008. So, i m bit confused about it. hopefully they don't resend the package back.

Yup, we've used the same Canadian mailing address in both the sponsor and PA's form since the mailing service isn't a very reliable one here in the UAE. I'm sure they wouldnt return the application for IMM5476 and if they do need it from you, they'll ask you to send it to them using the webform.

You can also proactively mail them this form with a cover letter asking them to attach this to your application as well. I've seen a few folks do that in other forums who missed attaching a document.

Application was sent back due to lack of proof of relationship? What you really missed for proof of relationship? Can you please quote the reason if you don't mind.

Hi I think if you mentioned separate emails and communication address for the principal applicant then we do not need this form. But yes when your sponsorshoip is approved, then we can submit form. That is my interpretation my friend..

Q1- In checklist if any section doesnot apply to us eg
are you the(the sponsor) canadian citizen living outside canada ? do any of you have any child together - reply yes or no .

As i am PR in canada- do i need to reply for it - As no ? or Do I need to leave it blank or do i have to write N/A ?

and in general too, where ever any section whether in checklist or in any form doesnot apply to us

what to do ? should we reply ? should we leave blank or should we write N/A?

WRITING N/A with pen - will not be taken as form invalid
also IF HAVE TO WRITE N/A ....where to write it in section ?

WRITING N/A with pen - will not be taken as form invalid YOU CAN USE PEN, NO PROBLEM. ONLY ON FORMS THAT NEED A BARCODE NEEDS TO BE PRINTED.
also IF HAVE TO WRITE N/A ....where to write it in section ? IF THERE IS NO LINE/BOX/FORM FOR IT, THEN DON'T WRITE ANYTHING. YOU CAN HAVE A COVER LETTER IF YOU REALLY FEEL THE NEED TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF.

We sent our app last june 28 .it was received by immigration last july4 and finally i received an email w app # and UCI just today Aug 5 . However im having a hard time to link the app using gckey .. tried it so many times . Any tips pls ? Whos info should i put there is it the sponsors name ? Or the PA?
