A couple of weeks ago I submitted a query through the online form that's on the "average processing time" web page. Three days later our lawyer got an email inquiring why we had not responded to am email sent *last year* regarding the finalization of our application...

Turns out that email was never actually sent *and* our online status was not updated. So now we've been told they have "intent to approve" but I have to go for a second medical exam first.. it took them an additional week+ to send the form for the exam..

I have such mixed feelings.. relief and joy that the end is near, but frustration and anger that my husband and I have spent at least 6 more months apart than we could have, because some bureaucratic jerk(s) didn't do their job properly. If I hadn't submitted that online query we would still be in the dark.

Hi everyone! July 2015 applicant here... the last time i heard from CIC was last may 2017 asking for additional documents and a remedical because our first medical was expired... tired of ordering gcms notes because its all the same, sending inquiry to cic and receiving same respond from them "your application is in progress"

My foodness!! 3 years!! In my case it’s exactly 2 years as I am an April 2016 applicant and still now don’t know the reason behind the delay. Maybe I am government employee in my home country Bangladesh, that’s why my application is stuck in the security stage! Do you know the reason behind tor delay?

Same as ours almost 2 years this coming July. I tried everything for inquiry but i haven't receive a good reply that will explain what is the reason for taking so long the processing. My husband is a police officer. He is still active on his duty. Some are saying that he should resign on his job before i applied for sponsoring spousal. But it's too late for me to know that.It's really frustrating because i havent heard anything from MVO.
