Hi my status changed from application received to in process for both sponsor and sponsored person,does this means that we got the SA and AOR2?
Please help

I would say as soon as "Review of eligibility" is changed to "Review in Progress", that's your SA. We got our official email like two days after ours changed to "Review in Progress" with the info about which visa office we were transferred to. I don't know if that counts as AOR2 - I always assumed we'd get another email from the visa office once they received the rest of the application, and that would be the AOR2, but I could be wrong.

Question that's bothering me now that our file's been transferred to Ottawa. I sent thre envelopes in - one containing the Sponsor forms and supporting docs, one with Applicant forms and supporting docs, and then a third with supporting docs that didn't fit in the Applicant envelope. On the front of each envelope I outlined what was contained. Since marriage license was listed as needed for both the Sponsor and Applicant forms, I wrote on the front of the Applicant envelope "Marriage license in Sponsor folder". Will they transfer the marriage license with the rest of the application? I'm worried that maybe I should have included two copies of the marriage license now, one in each envelope.

Even later than that. In my case, application received on July 18th, AOR1 in August (see spreadsheet), but I don't think I'm the latest one.

I just saw that they changed sponsorship processing time from 47 days to 36 days ...fingers crossed ???

I got thrilled when i checked my ECAS today, the applicant's side changed its status to "In Process" from "Application received", i really hope this means good news. No new email though, so praying really hard. :-\

The marriage certificate is only needed once.

That being said, yes the entire app was transfered - they don't keep the sponsors half at CPC-M.

Furthermore, they actually scan and upload everything you submit.

It does not show anything about medical results! When should I get that?
What do you see on ecas after getting SA and forwarding your application to VO?

Even though I got my SA email saying it was transferred to Ottawa last week,it doesn't say they started processing it yet. I'm just getting a bit worried if they have received my medical results!
Anyway, it seems both of us have almost same timelines and situations!

Hi, this is for both of you and Goldman..
Ours says:

1) We received your application for permanent residence on July 19, 2016.
2) Medical results have been received.


However, we haven't received any mail or email whatsoever. Also it only says "Application Received" on the status. It doesn't say anything about processing it.

I don't know what this all means. Any answers or opinion on what is actually going on with our Application? I'm not sure whether our AOR1 and SA has been approved or what the update/status is.

I applied to sponsor my husband from Dubai. CIC Mississauga received my application on July 14. I haven't received any acknowledgement from them that they've received it. How can I check the status of my application? Will I just have to wait until I receive my SA?
