Actually I just checked ECAS and now it says that my Sponsor Approval is in process, but also says that Permanent Residence Application Status is now in process as well! Maybe that means I got SA!?

same here guys my app date received july 5 2016.and showing both side in process started process july 21st..

The same behavior I also observed on 20th August. Got SA email today.

Can anyone place the example of e-mail that you recently received for CIC related to SA?

For those of you who have successfully linked your accounts - when filling out the info, are you inputting the sponsor's info or the applicant? Also, for the number of family members - if it were a spouse sponsoring his wife, is that 2?

@jms627

We got into myCIC (after loads of tries) with PA UCI (because we already had it before AOR1), then PA last name, city/country of birth and intend to live information. Wife sponsoring husband no dependents, so we put 2 in number. No additional info, only what was required to send form.

Thank you! For the city of birth, did you include the state?

@jms627

no, but we also didn't include it in the application. (State/Province is not applicable in this country context).

I was able to link my account. I see the following:

Application/profile status - Open
Review of eligibility - Not Started

I'm reading the statuses and it says "Not Started means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence."

"Open" says it's been received "we have received your application or profile."

I'm confused - if we received an AOR, how can they not have an application?

Is the first line referring to Sponsorship Approval and the second to Permanent Residency?

So weird. I kept trying to put 2 but it wouldn't work. Then when I entered 1 I finally got it linked. I wonder if it wasn't the fact that I was put the wrong number in but more so that a few days had passed before I tried again haha

hey! i just figured out the quote function. go me :P

I don't actually know, but from what I've read from others on the forum its as you suggest - that review of eligibility is referring to the PA application after SA approval. Which also seems consistent with other people reporting change to "in process" just as they were getting SA.

What I can say with certainty is that we also received AOR1 and our MyCIC looks the same, so at least you aren't alone :)
