I also just created a GCKey and tried to link my application but under the drop menu of what type of application, there is no "family sponsorship" or "immigration"?
Oh, for that one you first select "Permanent Residence" and then you will be able to select the sponsor type after that. :)

Ah I see it now. Thanks! :D
But right now it says there's no record of my application. I guess it will take some time before it will show? I only just received my AOR today...

If she is a PR here in Canada, she should not leave the country while the application is ongoing. If she is a citizen, she can come and go as she pleases with no delays or problems with the application.

Its better if she stay in Canada untill Sponsorship approval. Once she get SA after that she (if she is PR) can visit India for less than 2 weeks to be on safe side

NOTE: not more than 2 weeks out of Canada (if she is PR)

Hi This is the first time I'm using this forum,I'm Russian and my wife is Canadian we r married for almost 2 years and we got married in Canada, but we leave together for the last 7 years in USA legally working under the visas,we are planning to move to Canada and applied for the sponsorship on July 7th 2016,we submitted all the documents all together,we r going to do it thru Russia bc this seems to be the faster way. My wife is already in Canada and starting her new job from August and I'm currently in USA but going back to Moscow to wait for my approval... Any idea how long it will take them to approve my PR?
Also me and my wife are top professional ballroom dancers and we were invited to perform and compete at the dance competitions in Vancouver and Calgary in October, I have invitations and flights with hotel and I was just wondering because I'm in process of getting my PR will it be a problem to get the TRV? I have a job contract in Russia.
Please let me know what u think?
My application was received on July 11th,started processing on July 28th

I would say it is a 50/50 chance. Provide plenty of proof of ties to Russia. They will want to know that you will return when the TRV expires. I hope some more experienced members will answer this as well. I believe there is also a thread on getting a TRV while waiting for PR. Best wishes.

Ok got it,thank you for ur answer. Any idea how long does it takes to get the PR in Moscow? It says 11 months but if it's straight forward case?
Thank you

I'm not sure. There should be a thread for that VO somewhere in the forum. I'm sure they have a better idea of a timeline.
