Thank you! Nothing this morning either. Starting to get panicky haha.

Hi everyone, I'm not a July applicant so I apologize if this is an inconvenience.

I'm sending out my application tomorrow or Monday morning (Outland spousal application) and I'm reading your posts about linking your application. Just wondering what this meant?

Thanks in advance!
Joyce

Linking your application to MyCIC let's you see more information of application progress (compared to ECAS). You can only do that after the application is received at Missisauga.

Thanks so much for the clarification! Appreciate it!

Congrats to the ones received AOR today!

Once you link your application to MYCIC, do you receive all communications in that portal? Such as, AOR, SA, etc.

Who gets the AOR 1? PA or Sponsor?

AOR1 is sent to sponsor. So is SA.

MyCIC let's you see info about:
* application status
* progress of eligibility
* medical results
* background check
* possible interview
* decision made

I wouldn't call them 'communications' though because they still send emails for updates or additional document requests.

Thanks JustaSquare for the information! Very helpful.

I just made a MyCIC account (or at least what I assume is one) with the GCKey. However, when I try to link my application, it keeps saying that they can't find an application. Is this because I can't link it until after I get SA, or...?

Hello everyone,

I called CIC today and they advised me that if we link our application to MyCIC we dont receive AOR1.

Is that true?

I find that they don't provide proper assistance, he didnt ask for any of my information. He just bluntly advised me nothing to worry about. CIC call center is not helpful at all.

I also just created a GCKey and tried to link my application but under the drop menu of what type of application, there is no "family sponsorship" or "immigration"?
