JULY 2016 - Citizenship Applicants

My file (family of 4) has gone IP on 26th July, my spouse and I are waiting for an invitation too...

Tomorrow will be 1 month since my application wen't to IP and still no test invite, anyone else with this? I am moving next week and will have to change my address was hoping i would get it before, may have to do mail forwarding just in case.

I am new to posting on the forum but have been keep a close eye on the July application thread. Our applications(family of 5) have been moving along quite quickly and thought it is time I share our timeline.


Calgary office
Our application got delivered to CIC July7, 2016
AOR: July 25, 2016
Went into process: Aug 2, 2016
Husband received a letter on Aug 10 for electronic fingerprints
Aug 25 received letter to write citizenship test on September 8.

We send our family application all in one envelope but my husband is the only one who got letter for fingerprints and to write his test. Nothiing has changed on my ecas since Aug 2 saying that my application went into process. What number do I phone to query about my file?

I received my AOR on July 28. But till now we still as APP Received on Ecase.
We are family of 3 from Toronto, it seems like we are the only case are not IP.
I'm sad and depressed.

Looks like the Canada Post is going on strike. What is the alternative to Canada Post?

UPS, DHL, Fedex. Purolator is owned by Canada Post. So it's no use using them.

Not all the time. Some applicants receive the test invite after a week....some receive after several weeks....

Checked my ecas this morning and it showed that my test invite for September 8 was send out on Aug 24. I hope the letter arrives before the next postal strike. But I am very relieved that I can do the test on the same day as my husband ;D
