Valuable friends, We had our oath today morning (Wednesday 16 November 2016) at the Hellenic (Greek) cultural center in Montreal. The officer said we could present passport applications on Monday, as they needed two working days (Thursday and Friday) to process our names into the system. FYI

I do totally agree with you. I myself do not know why is each case different than the other... I wish I knew What I heard is that years ago people used to wait a lot, from submission to oath, i.e. 2-3 years

I totally agree with you... I applied for PR in Sep 04 and I got approved in Nov 11 I waited 7 years for my PR while others waited merely 2 years... Also, I had never gone out of Canada in the last 4 years, except a single (same-day-return) driving trip to USA. Rigly it is a matter of time...

On Wednesday 26 October, my status changed to DECISION MADE, and an invitation for oath has been issued the same day. My oath is schedule for 16th November 9:00AM. Good luck all friends,,, just keep your patience ;-)

I strongly suggest that you bring your wife/child for the oath ceremony. It is not worth it going into dilemma after all these efforts and long waiting times. Cheers,

To my knowledge, they reduce your expectation and the invitation for oath comes sooner than what they tell you in the interview. According to law, they have only 60 days after the interview to DECIDE. In fact, I have no idea what a `security check` is, but I am sure it will not take 3 months...
