Anybody know if the Acknowledge of Receipt letter which contains this sentence "Upon review of the information you have provided, your application is considered complete based upon the
requirements of the Instructions and Regulation 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA)." can be used as a "Approval In-Principle" Letter ? OR I have to ask CIC to let them send me a special "approval in-principle" letter.

I am a July 2015 applicant and has passed medical a long time ago.

Thanks a lot for any help.

I doubt it, the acknowledgement letter is just saying that you filled out the answers to a satisfactory level to be read and reviewed by and officer for consideration of maybe becoming a permanent resident.

Why do you need an approval in-principle letter?

You can apply for BOWP... As long as your nomination certificate doesn't have employment restrictions.

at this question
Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?

You have answer here with " Yes "
and it means that they have found your application complete
and that you have got your AOR

from CIC:
Applicants applying for a BOWP must include a copy of their Acknowledgment of receipt - Application for permanent residence letter with their open work permit application.

Note: Foreign nationals in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) are eligible for a BOWP only if they have provided a copy of the nomination letter issued by the nominating province or territory along with their application and there is no indication that employment restrictions exist as conditions of the nomination.

Hi i just wanted to ask for those who are still waiting for ppr are you guys have a job offer? Would u be able to check how long the contract attached to it if any? There is some kind of priorities in processing of pr that i can see. If u dont have a job offer ull get ur pr so quick. And most who got it early seems like no job offer.

Got ppr today. July 13 applicant. The email was sent to my consultant this
morning. And my consultant forwarded it to me early this afternoon. Mailed out passport already. Hope to get it back soon. Thank you for those who help me in this forum. Hope all you guys getting the ppr soon!

This is what I thought as well. But base on the current trend, it does not matter at all. Applications differ from one to another, example if you have lived in few different countries, or stayed in multiple addresses in the past 10 years, background check will take longer. Additional documents will also delay the application, especially some errors on the background declaration, if you're married or have a partner, both of you will undergo security checks so it will take longer. But now, there is no direct relation (based on what I have been seeing) of job offer/contract expiration or limitations on the processing time. Or if they found out that your work permit or contract is until 2018 they will put you on hold or prioritize other applications because they don't want you to leave your current employer ;-) good luck to all of us...

Why do you need an approval in-principle letter?

I need the approval in-principle letter for international student tuition fee exemption. I found my school accepts this letter to consider me as a domestic student and paying domestic fee.

Hello, everyone,

I mailed my passport to Ottawa but did not notice I was not supposed to fill out the address section of the return envelope. So I put my address on the return envelope. Do you have any suggestion on what I should do now? Thank you.
