Hi folks, DM here also. As with many people on here, I had heard very little. SA in september, a further document request in Feb and then nothing. So I ordered my notes and within 3 days of the 30 day deadline, everything started happening. First I received an email from my case worker telling me that they couldn't find my medical results. Then another email saying that they had found them. Then a 3rd email asking for my mailing address in canada. I explained that I live in Scotland so don't have a mailing address in canada. I did apply outland but my case was sent to ottawa. My case worker replied and said that it was a mistake and that it is all ok now. Since then my ecas has changed from "application received" to "in process" to "decision made" all within a few days of each other. Now I have received another email asking for my address in North America and they have said that they cannot send immigration papers to an address outside of canada or the US. I find this a bit strange since many people immigrating will not have an address in canada. I happen to have my wife's parents address that I could use but I don't know if that will confuse things when I try and land? Has this happened to anyone else?

Congratulations Jonny.
Are you an august applicant? Good to know that DM will come to Ottowa August applicants.
Are you waiting with your wife in Scotland?
My case should be processed in Vienna, but my it went to Ottowa. Still think this is a good sign though.

Congrats! It is probably because your application was filed in the Ottawa VO and they only mail to Canada and the USA. I think that is why they send people to the VO in their home country so that they don't have to mail COPRs overseas but I could be wrong.

Mulez, I am a July applicant actually. 24th July.

As it happens, I can use my mother-in-laws address in Canada but i don't know what they would do if I said I didn't have an address in Canada.

I am due to visit Canada in a couple of weeks for a 1 week only but don't yet want to officially "land". I assume I can enter as a visitor and it won't flag up that I have been approved for PR?

Its been week time stil PP in delhi :(

This actually makes no sense to me if you applied outland and haven't moved to Canada since applying. Maybe senior member can chime in but I don't see how CIC can request a North American mailing address. Given how many errors the agent made previously with your file I feel like you need to go back to them and clarify the situation one last time? Again, maybe I am missing something and hope someone else would help.

Our Ecas was updated a little bit.

We received *********** application for permanent residence on July 17, 2014.

We started processing ********** application on April 6, 2015.

Medical results have been received.

Guess this shows that ECAS really does not always get updated.

Chris.

Thats great..Did u get the PPR? How long does it take from DM to PPR?

@shy_guy

PPR received April 8, 2015
I received (sponsor) phone call from CEM April 13,2015
My wife received phone call from CEM April 13,2015
Visa picked up at Embassy April 16, 2015.

ECAS was not fully updated finally to DM until April 25,2015

Chris.

I literally got DM Tuesday, and received my CoPR today. Apparently there's no PPR for people from the States. I hope you get CoPR soon! I hope everyone does!

July 10th! Or well, June 3rd honestly, since that's when my visitation expires. Going to go on Tuesday though! Super excited! I nearly died when I saw a thick envelope in my mail this afternoon! :D

So happy to hear about you guys getting your CoPRs and DMs! :D Hubby and I have been checking the mail since we got DM tuesday. But I feel today is the day!! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until he gets home from work, 4 hrs from now. He has the only key to the mailbox. Lol!

It looks like CIC updates ECAS a couple of days before or after sending the CoPR so its hard to tell when it'll really arrive. :P not really sure. Try calling them? Haha! They must be wondering why lots of people who got DM have been calling just to verify.
