Thanks! Sending good thoughts your way, I so know they feeling these months have been so long. Now waiting to see how long it takes for PR papers to come in the mail, was scrolling through spreadsheet to see average times. It's all over the place so it really depends on location and a ton of other factors I bet. Last leg of the Journey here, again good luck to everyone!

Checked my eCas today. ;D changed to IN PROCESS! So happy! My hubby told me my face turned red when I received the news. It said they started processing last Mar 27th.

We're finally seeing more movement now! Wishing the best for everyone here!

Wow! There is suddenly a lot of movement! June & May apps are now seeing sudden IP or DM!! Maybe this means it really is getting close to our turn! I'm scared to be hopeful anymore.

OMG THEY FINALLY CHANGED OUR MAILING ADDRESS!!!
I checked Monday and it was still the same and no email saying they were going to change it, checked today and it has FINALLY been updated. Only took 6 months and 5 emails. BUT AT LEAST THEY CHANGED IT!
That has been shockingly stressing me out! I was so worried they would try to mail something versus email and we would never get it and not know!

Now if they could update our status that would be even better!

hi..
Im gonn send my passport tommarro to NDVO after that how long its gonn take to get my passport n visa back n how long visa gonn be last long??

I got PPR..jz want to confirm the address to send my passport for stamping. VFS Global services pvt ltd, E-wing, S-2 level, international trade tower, Nehru place, new delhi- 19.

Greetings Everyone,

I am a July outland 2014 applicant (tech. the Sponsor) but have only now joined the thread. I am a Canadian living in Philadelphia with my American wife and we are looking to move up to Toronto.

CIC received our application July 21st 2014
Received SA on Sept. 3rd 2014
Request more doc re: Intent to reside in Canada Jan. 6th 2015
Application Status: 'Application Received'...radio silence ever since Jan 6th.

I grew up in Ottawa and currently have family working and residing there. Having visiting the capital over the weekend, I became aware of the nation wide Foreign Workers dilemma that may help explain the hold up in the Ottawa VO. Here is a news article or two:

cbc.ca/news/business/a-lot-of-tfws-must-leave-canada-on-april-1-as-visas-expire-but-how-many-1.3015821
calgary.ctvnews.ca/time-runs-out-for-thousands-of-canada-s-temporary-foreign-workers-1.2308459
ottawacitizen.com/news/edmonton/Deadline+leave+Canada+could+force+some+temporary+foreign+workers/10937500/story.html

As you can see, the issue somewhat correlates to the delay in outland PR applications, and I can imagine the Ottawa VO would be one of the places tasked with handling the issue regarding Foreign Workers. I even have a number of friends who were barely able to get their status renewed as a foreign worker in time for April 1st. The process was extremely slow for them. All in all, hopefully this means April/May is the time for PR applications to be considered once again.

Welcome C.Sullivan. I'm about 10-15 miles up the street from you, in South Jersey. We just recently started a closed FB group for those of us being processed in Ottawa, if you'd like to join.

I was reading about the issue with some of the temporary foreign workers. I meant to look into a bit more to see if they were all processed in Ottawa. I do know the express entry program seems to be occupying Ottawa's time at the moment.

....and yes, Ottawa also handles the temporary workers :o The VO's must be going cookoo! :-\

CPC in Ottawa
The case processing centre office in Ottawa (CPC-O) processes:

visitor visa (temporary resident visa) applications from within Canada for applicants with valid status (students or temporary foreign workers only)

permanent resident visa applications from the United States and Canada after they have been pre-screened by CPC-M or CIO-S
