Hello everyone :)

I was wondering about the Paris VO. We received AOR Oct. 3, they asked more info, which was sent right away, but still no sign of my husband's medical. Is this normal?
We are starting to get worried....

I think it's just normal. My medical results appeared received a month after our SA. Ecas isn't always updated.

Oh my golly! Today it showed medicals received AND a decision has been made!! Wonder how long it will take now until we hear what the decision was!

Some of us receive these and others do not its up to the individual visa office. It is an acknowledgement of receipt by the abroad office.

That's great congratulations! I'm so happy for you!

Here's hoping mine goes through soon too, but I'm being processed through Ottawa, so who knows.

Also, hello, everyone. I'm new around here (clearly). My husband is sponsoring me to move up to Canada. We submitted our stuff on June 27 and it was recieved by them on July 4th.

Since then we received our SA on August 27 and they asked for a copy of my passport bio-data page and a couple pictures that meet their Permanent resident specifications on October 2.

Those were all put in the mail on October 10 (because I ended up overnight at work for a few nights and had a hard time adjusting back).

Since then I haven't heard anything and nothing has been updated on my ecas, which from what Ive seen isn't unusual, so here's hoping it's soon!

thank you MysticMidnight!
Hope you get some good news soon :)

Congrats, Antoinetee! You are the first of the July Outland group to get DM I believe.

I went 'in process' over a month ago and had been hoping to hear by now given the quick turnaround in Mississauga but nothing yet. Fingers crossed for next week.

Aaah thanks srfheat! We are very excited but then again, we don't know how long it will take to hear the outcome. It is pure torture! Lol
Good luck! I hope that you hear from them soon ;)

Hello all,
Just wanted to know is the process has changed.
I was looking at the spread sheet from July 2013 and the applicants from New Delhi VO have had their passport requested within 2 months of receiving their SA.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Hello Kev, I found a thread for the DNVO for 2014 and in the footer of the first post there is a spreadsheet for this year. You can see what the current trend is like there. They are known to fluctuate throughout the year and one years trend very well might not be the same as the next years.

Although I guess I'm too new here to be able to post a link to it right now, sorry.

Just curious about application statuses!
We have our SA but are waiting for everything else. our application simply says "application recieved" i was wondering if anyone has heard anything else?
I tried emailing CIC but i havent heard anything back, is that normal?

a month after our SA, we got an email from the Manila Visa office to send an advisory on marriages certificate. If you still haven't heard anything from them until now, your application is complete and you just have to wait for your passport to be requested.

Are there any July applicants who's ECAS changed to in process or got PPR request?
