PPR and additional Docs from Manila visa - October 3

Being PPR was requested so soon I do hope this is not the start of Manila requesting passports and leaving them hang around the office for months at time before even beginning to process applications.

Wow that's a pretty quick PPR, did you got an email from them? Or did you just checked your ECAS?

Don't get your hopes up too much...Manila has been known to ask for PPR at the beginning of the process instead of when it should be requested.

It sure would be nice if they have speeded things up this fast.

So I have a question,
our application says two things online.
First it says "application received" when you click on it, then it says "application for _______ has been received on July 11th"
Then under THAT it says "Meds received" which we sent them in WITH the application, when you then click on the link below for "applications for PR from outside Canada" it gives you a table. The table says that when they say meds received your application has "decision made"... But our status is still received.. is it just that they haven't updated our status? or is the table just off on the link?

WAYY TO CURIOUS TO HANDLE MYSELF RIGHT NOW!
I tried emailing them last week but I haven't heard anything back...

I don't think that table is particularly accurate. I believe most people will get "medical results received" first, whilst the status is "application received" - I certainly did. I guess it's when the details are pulled across from the e-medical system and linked with your file.

The status will later to change to "In process" when they are actually reviewing the application for stage 2.

Yes, same thing with my application. Once SA approved, "Med results received" was there as well.

Hey everyone, I've been following this thread as my application to sponsor was received on July 30th in Mississauga. You guys have helped more so than the actual CIC guide at times...so thanks for that. I have a quick question though, hopefully someone can help. I just looked at the first stage processing time and it now says 41 days and they are working on applications received on August 20, 2014. I know that CIC received my application because Canada Post says that a signature was received on July 30th...how do I find out what happened to my application? Anyone I can call to at least find out if they actually have my file? Anyone else in this boat? Thanks in advance. Patrick

Thanks...usually I'm pretty patient with most things, but not so much this past week, especially after seeing the timeline they are working on now. Just crazy that there really is no access to CIC beyond the help line, unless you get a reply from them via letter or email. Oh well, thanks again for replying.

You are well past the date they are processing. Have you tried calling the helpline? If you are in canada it cant hurt. Must be sponsor I believe.
