Hello! I just checked the spreadsheet and found out that we have the same application date (received by CIC). Have you got an email from them asking for the updated forms? I'm really worried that our application will be affected with those changes and might be returned.

Your application should not be returned...they should be holding on to it and simply send you an email to ask you to send in the one updated form (assuming they catch it and don't process the old form...but you may be lucky)

We just received our SA today! Very happy and relieved!

It appears that our application is being kept in Mississauga for stage 2 processing, rather than being sent to London.

Thank you, ZAK87. We were getting anxious as others before and then after us had received SA and we had heard literally nothing.

My GF is my common law sponsor and she received the SA email this morning. I have just checked my ECAS and there's no update on there - still just says application reiceved.

Thanks! Crossing my fingers that they will accept the old forms as our application was received on the last day of July and they said that new forms are effective on applications received after aug 1st. :-[

Just a heads up, someone else on the forum had their package delivered on July 31st, they had this in writing in the form of someone called Stephanie signing for it, but it does not go straight onto an officer's desk. By the time it was assigned to an officer it was a few days in to August and the officer requested the updated form.

Perhaps prepare the updated form, just in case you are asked for it.

I think they only update ECAS weekly on a tuesday. So probably no point to check again until then.
