Cic helpline r full of liers. I called tday and lady said they r still opening june 19 apps whereas july applicants r getting updates. I wonder why they lie. Such a shame

their system is probably still working with applications as old as received on the 19 th of june.
still need to wait for a few more weeks to see more july people having updates.

Hello,
My application was received on 09/July/2014
Application was returned today 03/Sep/2014 due to a missing document.
I have sent all my college transcripts however, they would need more supporting documents in this regard. My question is, should I send the documents needed with the same application or should I fill up a new application and send everything again that way.
Thanks and good luck to everyone on their citizenship applications.

Hello,
They are asking for my College Diploma stating that I have graduated from the college. At the time of the application, I did not have the Diploma ready as I was just graduated. They did not accept my college transcripts

Thank you

I hope so too. The convocation hasn't held yet so I was told the school will not be issuing until then. However, the trancsript shows that "Awared Diploma May 2014", which could make the officier confused. The check list also says that Diploma, Certificte or Transcript...

If I were you, I am going to prepare a new form with the date you are sending the application again in order for them to have the most recent information of your activities.

normally u can get the diploma / degree before convocation too from registry. Check with them

It doesn't matter if you have convocated or not -- the office of the registrar (or the grad studies office) can issue an official letter which states that the student has completed the degree requirements and will be awarded the degree of whatever on this date...

yah, when i applied for PGWP, i get a transcript stating that i completed all courses. so a transcript should work in this case. CIC might have made a mistaking returning your file.

Thank you so much guys. Well I have talked to my registrar's office and they have advised me to wait until the 15th October as they have the convocation day on that date.
And I think Im going ahead with filling up a new application and proceed with it that way. To be honest with you guys, I was so excited to open the mail from CIC, however I didn't know as soon as I open it, Im going to get totally crazy and mad lol
Well thank you guys for your replies!

It seems like we went to the same school. I was advised exactly the same as you from the registrar. Are you going to send your application without diploma again? Or wait until October 15?

Guys, I don't think there's much sense in waiting -- you have fulfilled your degree requirements. The office of the registrar can provide an *official* letter -- besides the transcripts -- which says that you have completed your degree. Then, you should send that letter + your transcripts along with the application. The reason your application was returned is: (i) lack of common sense and/or (ii) missing that extra letter/parchment besides the transcripts.
