Based on the status(es) you are posting they are sending out the book directly?? kind of not understandable.

I applied July 21st and never got a book.

Guys I dont understand .. based on the posted E-CAS Status(es) .. the book are being sent out same day as the received day? how is that possible .. is the E-CAS accurate .. did anyone from July guys received the book?

Their system issues the notification based on what they enter. So basically when they open your file, they enter the date received. Siebel (the CRM system) "thinks" that you responded to your customer the very same day you acknowledged their request (i.e., opened their application). Thus it appears as if they sent you the book back then, but it's a false positive. That's sth they should have Deloitte fix (Deloitte is the consultant for Siebel).

This is a serious problem and will result in people thinking the mail from CIC containing the book was lost! Do you know how long usually it takes to receive the book after (getting in Process) and how long between the time receiving the book to the exam?

Applied July 9th, nothing yet.
It takes around 3months to receive the book if application goes thru. Otherwise, 7-9 weeks for the application to be returned.
From receiving the guide until exam, time varies among applicants. If a residential questionnaire or hearing is requested, the waiting time can go up to a couple years.

in contrast, i called just now and was told they are still working on June 19th.... they told me to wait at least another three weeks before calling again.

I have moved my address this month (Within Toronto) .. I have Canada Post forwarding ... How can I change my address prior to having E-CAS status? should I wait until I have online access.

Probably -- if they don't return your application (in which case the CP redirection will cover it), then you have up to two months to make them aware of your new address. So I think you should wait for ECAS -- there are no obvious risks...

Hi. I am in the same situation as you. CIC received my application on July 11th and I moved to a new address on 31st August. During this time I never saw any updates about my application being processed on E-cas. I also did the Canada Post forwarding to my new address. Hope it all works out. Actually I hope this moving to a new place will not cause CIC to ask to form an RQ.

Just discovering the forum. Very interesting and informative. Mailed application on July 4th, Received on July 9th. Nothing happening.

I live in Toronto. Are most applicants in this forum Toronto applicants as well? ??? I just want to know if I could expect the same time frame for the processing of my application.
