Thank you. reassessment is possible? then I will call them NOW.
But I am also afraid that CIC reject my PR during the reassessment..

Going by my experience with CRA and importantly since you are not asking for a refund the whole process of reassessment should not take more then a week for CRA to issue a new NOA for 2013.

Keep us posted about your experience with CRA.

Seniors please help and comment:

Hi Chris,

I suggest you call CRA tomorrow as CRA may take longer to respond to the website requests.

I called them today they said that it would take around 8 weeks :o, there is no other way to make it faster..
This is frustrating..
Do you think if it is a good idea to inform CIC of this situation by email?

I am assuming CIC will not be opening our files for another 6 months at least but with CIC you can never predict. I suggest you start a new thread and maybe we can get more responses and hopefully from someone who has been in this situation before.

In my opinion I would not consider writing to CIC without the complete paperwork to support my claim that I was drawing a salary and not a scholarship. I am sure your job reference letter would indicate that you were employed and drew a salary. Its another story that CRA decided to treat this as scholarship while assessing your tax liability.

Yes. my reference letter says "I am employed..."
I found on the CRA website that online submission takes 2 weeks and mailing submission takes 8 weeks. Maybe the CRA agent was confused.
I hope they issue my new NOA within 2 weeks..

Btw, don't they open our applications at all until they complete previous applications?

Just saw my status is "In Process" - Could someone please update the sheet.

Also, I'm not sure what to expect from here. Any information regarding the steps or the timeline would be much appreciated. Thanks :)
