sorry for asking but this might be a common question.

How long does it takes to get the BOWP once you submitted to CIC ?
I'm expecting AOR in a week and Im planning to go on vacation to states in 2nd week of december.
once I got my BOWP i need to apply for US and CAnadian visa.
Does anyone know if this is possible ? ( to take vacation on 2nd week of dec )
and if the time frame if enough to get all the visas ?

Here are my timelines for BOWP & TRV:

Online BOWP application: August 1st at 2100 hours.
BOWP Approved: August 13th
BOWP received in mail: August 15th

Online TRV application: August 17th
Passport request: August 19th
Passport received with TRV: August 28th.

Going by my timeline it is achievable.

CEC July Vs Express Entry

Hi,

I am wondering what happens when the Express entry starts in Jan. to our July Applicant pool ?

Will they :

-Drop our cases and start working on Express instead
-Consider us in Express Entry program and we'll have to hunt for job instead first in Job bank
-Continue processing our application as is untill 13 months period
-Shorten our processing time to till Jan and give us PRs ASAP as they have to start working on Express entry instead 8) ;D

..I've tried reading everything i get and registered myself on Job bank too, unable to resolve the above query by myself. your views would be helpful and appreciated !

Hi guys,

So my ecas is showing in process but no AOR received by email.. I've been checking both my spam and regular inbox.. My cc was charged 27 aug and the ecas is showing in process today sep 1.. I'm worried coz I never got an AOR by email yet.. By biggest concern is that I have a bowp application sent by paper and I'm worried coz I don't have an official AOR.. Does the in process on ecas mean that the AOR should have already been sent?? Of so how do I contact cic to ask them to resend?? Any feedback guys??
