Return tracker activated today.. shows passport left Ottawa yesterday 6:16pm.. hopefully will get passport and COPR today

UPDATE: my passport and COPR is delivered at home now.. cant wait to go back and check the documents LOL.. will be doing landing in january as i already have travel plans in a month and i am sure i wont get PR card by then.

hey do you think its safe to just leave the country and get landing done on the way back.. when you can just go across the border and get it done in mins.. i was also thinking of doing the same.. leaving canada once i get my landing visa and getting pr on the way back. but some ppl suggested that its safer to get it in hand from america and then leave... besides the pr card processing time has been reduced... but u still might not get it in time for your plans..

if u have visa for states, you can always leave the country and then re-enter through states while waiting for your pr card. but i would still consult with an expert before doing so.

You can flagpole 24/7 at most border crossings (at least at the bigger highway border crossings). You can check the opening hours of their immigration departments online.

You have a very nice timeline.. You sent a medical 2 weeks after the request and got a passport request 2 weeks after that. Congratulation!

Either way is safe.. the problem in my case is im leaving dec 16 so if i do landing through border today i m 100% sure i wont get my PR in time to travel abroad.. thus i would rather do landing during my trip instead of doing now due to PR card processing times.
