How Exciting!!
Any advice ?

My In Process status disappeared today. I called CIC last week and was told my file was still at Sydney, but my local office will be Mississauga.

congrats adame, are you single? and what about your preferred language? I mean it was English or French since you are in Montreal.

You applied in May and want to confuse July applicants? ;D

Or you have a wrong date in your profile?

Congratulations adame. I have updated your test date in timeline. I guess you are from Montreal, so updated your local office too.

Any updates Julyers ?

Called CIC today and the agent advised me to call them back July 2014...I guess there isn't any updates on my case. :(
Ps: The agent was unprofessional at least the one I had. He forgot to verify my identity at the beginning of the conversation...

They told me today also that background checks take up to one year, but said that my file might be transferred to the local office and test might be scheduled in couple months from today based on current progress.

Happy New Year to everyone,
I hope good news will be heard by every Julyer in 2014...
All the best to ALL

Do they tell you where your file is as of today? I had called last month and the rep said that I will not have any updates until July 2015 coz it will take min 24 months to process. And there will be no updates also as to where the file is (NS or local office). Sounded like he was giving me text book answers.

Yep. I have found the call center to be utterly useless.

On another note, I travelled a few times during my 3.5 years of residency. I see that CBSA on stamped 2 out of 6 re-entries. Now i have boarding passes saved from those re-entries but I am thinking I am going to apply for the CBSA report to get that in case of an interview or RQ.

Come-on July applicants,

Our thread is so slow compare to other threads (aug, sep and octs, etc.). Hopefully this new year will bring some good news for us.

I have tried my luck and called the customer service inquiring about my application on the last week of December, and they told me that nothing was started on my file and they told me to wait for an year or so before expecting anything. I think the eastern Canada folks have a better chance of getting their citizenship was faster compare to the applicants from the Prairie like me.
Also, it looks like working on the individuals' file has to do with where the applicant's local office.

Anyways, let hope for the best, and if there is any RQ to come at the early stages.

Good luck everyone.
