...or more...I know someone who told me his ecas went from"application received" directly to decision made after 14 months... The point is enjoy the AOR even when ecas is not updated

Hi Jorger,
Thank you for the update, so, does it really take so long for the status to change from 'application received' to 'application in process'? I was not aware of that!

WOW! And, you are right, that after a certain time, it does get annoying to see the same status over and over again until it gets changed and that is after quite a few months.

But thanks for the info tho!

thanks jorger !!

I received AOR on Sept 4 and now I will wait for next week whether they gonna update my file on ECAS. usually I heard from others that its showing on ECAS so hope that mine will appear soon !!

it would better to send employment letter if you have it, since they are asking for copies , i guess you can scan and email to them , mention your situation to them in the email ..

Can somebody give me the email id to which I need to send my employment letter after getting the AOR.

I got my CC charged yestarday sept 8
application received on July 20, 2013
hope to get AOR soon.

How many applicants who submitted applications in July 2013 received AORs in Sep 2013 so far? I could see only two people in the tracker.
The reason I am asking is I would like to know the current timelines for receiving AOR. I am August 2013 applicant and am in urgent need of AOR to apply for BOWP.

Good luck to you all !

Hi All,

I recived my AOR on Sept 9 :) ...

I had a question, my wife had a baby last week, what is the best way to let CIC know about the baby's arrival?
Should I just send them an email right away or wait until I recive the birth certificate?
Any advice will be appreciated ..

Thank you!!!

Is the baby born in Canada ? If it is in Canada, you do not need PR for the baby. In any case, send an email to CIC along with birth certificate and ask if they need the passport copies of the baby. If they ask, you can send them once you get baby's passport.

Yes, the baby is born in Canada 5 days ago, I still dnt have the birth certificate or a passport, should I just send an email now that we have a new baby then once I recive the certificate send them another email with a copy? Getting the certificate & passport might take up to 6 weeks or more in my province.

Also which email should I use??

Thanks in advance for anyone who response, I know I should do some research to get this info but it's crazy for me these days with the new baby!!!!

Your AOR should tell you to which visa office your file has been transferred else check in ecas, It takes a few days for the ecas to get updated after receiving AOR.
Wait for the birth certificate to come. Once you get the birth certificate, send an email to ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca if the visa office is Ottawa with a covering letter explaining that you are blessed with a baby and you are sending birth certificate and ask them if they need Passport copies. Based on their response, you can send passport copies once you get baby's passport.

In my opinion, there is no point in informing them about your new born baby without any valid proof(birth certificate), there will not be any issues for not updating them about new born baby for couple of weeks until the birth certificate is received. But you may check with CIC call center and other senior members on this forum.
