@ Cruiser55: Yes........NOC 0 and A are exempt from the rule.
Thanks JPMH for the message.
So you are saying that as long as one works under NOC 0 and/or NOC A, the 4 year rule does not apply to them? They can keep renewing their work permits, etc, irrespective of anything?

Hello Friends,
MY application status:

Received on 11th July and now waiting process on... (wonder how long its gonna take?)

One of my friend applied in Feb 2013 and he got his call for medical in June!

Wondering how long it takes now, any clue friends?

All the codes that start with a '0' are NOC 0 Ex: 0XXX
All the codes that have '1' as their second digit come under NOC A. Ex: X1XX

From, what I read applicants with these 2 NOC (0 and A) are exempt from the rule.

@Cruiser55:0632 is NOC 0, so you are OK.
Same with CECApplicantXX, we fall under NOC A.

My best guess is that the government does not want to retain the unskilled or semi-skilled workers, thats why this rule.

I see you got your answer from JPMH, isn't it great to know people who like to share their knowledge?
just confirming, as long as your work experience is noc 0 or A, you are excempt of the4 years rule, i was working with noc 0 and laid out "because of the economy" they said. And with a family and no job I took a noc B so my clock is tickling now, there is a chance to be promoted and go back to noc 0 but still a promise, and I hope to get a positive response from CIC to my PR so the clock doesnt mind anymore, fingercrosing and praying ;D

Wow, another 2013 applicant got MR, he/she is the 4th, I believe. Do you know some more details of your friend's application? Does his/her ecas status show "in process" or "application received"?

As to your question, the entire process usually takes 8-11 mos. AOR is issued before the 2nd month. MR and/or RPRF/Biodata Form will follow depending on several factors: noc, travels, civil status, eligibility, background check, etc... Each case is treated differently.. There were lucky ones though whose applications were processed in less than 6 months (few 2013 applicants).

Yes Jorger, i did, thank you!

I was working under NOC 0 from June 2011 until March 2013 and then I was laid off due to the restructuring of the company. I have been unemployed ever since.

Now, with this news about this 4 year rule, I am very afraid. I need to get a job and I need to get job in NOC 0 as before, just to be safe than sorry about anything in the future.

It is sad how hardworking and worthy people like us can get laid off and left for nothing and have to go through so much of trouble to get back what we deserve.

Anyway, thanks for sharing this information with all of us on here.

Hello,
I am planning to apply next month. I have all the documents as well. Can somebody please read my this post and please reply on that same post if somebody has information related to it. I will appreciate it.

This is the subject of my post "reference-letter-from-other-jobs-where-i-worked-in-summer-and-parttime." You can see my username besides it "Jasmeet0101". I have posted it today.

Thanks

Immigration Topics / Canadian Experience Class / Reference letter from other jobs where i worked in summer and Part-time on: July 15, 2013, 09:51:18 am
Hello,
I am going to apply under Canadian Experience Class. I came here as international student and now I am on work permit. I have all documents ready. I am working in company as Software Tester and Job falls under NOC code 2283. I have been working on this position from last one year and my company will also give me the Reference letter as per requirements.
As I was Student I have worked two other Places as well. First, When I had my summer Semester off I worked (Fulltime) three months (Company A) But that job was not related to my studies. And Second I worked part-time (Company B) also during my studies and the job was not related to my studies. So do I need to provide the reference letter from Company A and B as well that I worked there from this specific Time? But in the application I have added the all the information related to work I did in Company A and B. Can you please let me know if I need to provide the Reference letter from them as well or not? I will really appreciate your help.

Thanks.

I guess this is the post you are talking about, you must include that information on your Background declaration IMM5669 for wich you dont need to provide reference letters.
do not include those jobs on your imm0008 if you are not counting on them as part of your canadian experience, if they are part of your canadian experience then YES you must include the info on imm0008 AND the reference letters

Hello,
Yes that was the post. Yes i have included only my current job in IMM0008 for which I have reference letter as well. And i am applying for Immg on the basis of this job. In IMM0008 I have not mentioned about other job. But in the other form IMM5669 I have added the information related to other jobs which i did.

And another thing i should include the information of other jobs in form Schedule 8 - Economic Class Form as well? If Yes then i think i need to provide all the information on that form for an example for Question 5 i need to provide the NOC codes, Job resp, for other jobs as well. Right? Along with the other information

Thanks for replying. Please also answer the question i asked in this reply.

Thanks a lot...:)

Is there any communication from CIC once they receive the application? or the first communication is the AOR?

If there are some missing documents then will they email or directly send the application by mail?

AOR will be first communication.

It depends what is missing. Required paperwork or birth certificate? It'll be returned. Missing NOC/T4? Chances are it will be requested. However, send it as soon as you have it!
