Hey all,

I just received an email requesting Police Clearance Certificates. I already included in my application my Irish police certificate. Does this email mean they want a Canadian RCMP one?

They do say in the email "If you have already submitted your police certificates, do not apply for or submit new documents. We will contact you once your application has been reviewed by a visa officer". Shall I apply for a new one just in case they looking for it again? Has anyone else received this email that has also included their police certificate?

I too received the same mail just now for 'Request for Police Clearance Certificates' from CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca . I have submitted along with my package so going to discard as suggested in the mail . but I did reply stating the same .

RCMP request comes separately . It's for other countries where you lived . BTW , whats your timeline ?

My app was received July 12th. My Irish police cert was stamped April 18th so a week under the 3 month validation.

Would it be best to email them to tell them that I have already included my police certificate? I have not lived in any other country (except Canada) for longer than 6 months..
