Is there value in applying for GCMS notes at this point? Or would it just delay the process? My timeline to the left. Completed medicals (though it's not reached CIC), sent biodata & paid RPRF.

Someone told me that PR is valid only until your current passport expires. Is this true? My passport is expiring in Dec 2016 & I'm expecting my PPR soon. Should I apply for a new passport to get the PR for 7 years?

I'm ok with the time for ECAS to update. The receptionist told me that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to consolidate my medical results before they can be sent to CIC. That's pure BS. Why do you need 2 to 3 weeks to write up a medical resport? Other doctors do it in 2 days.
