I got the last one in February, in total I got three since I applied, I am going to ask for a new one in a week or two.......
what's the date you were found eligible on? was it the same as the due date?
Thanks,
Ihab

For me the eligibility status was updated in January, but there are notes from the CIC (in the GCMS file) officer dating back to november about it. So it seems like those updates and such are taking a while in many cases.
good luck with your wait.

Your time coming soon guys :)

Hello all,

Need input, i finished medical for me and my family on 25th April.
I asked the doctor if the medical were sent to CIC. Doctor replied to me that it was send on 6th may to CIC.
I wrote email to CIC yesterday asking if my medical were received, today i got the reply from them.
As per there record they have received medical for my wife and not me and my son.

what should i do, should i contact the doctor again or should wait for another week and ask CIC if they have received medicals for me and my son.

appreciate your response.

thanks.

Hi guys,

I need some guidance. Being a late July applicant I am getting impatient now. I am thinking about applying for GCMS notes. I applied from Me, my spouse and my daughter together. To apply for GCMS notes:

- Do I need my spouse's authority or some kind of proof too?

- Also I applied through a lawyer, so can I apply for GCMS notes or only he can do that on my behalf?

Please suggest?

Yes, you need spouse authorization for release of information when applying GCMS for the first time. You can use a form for data release or appointing yourself as representative for your spouse - both are available at CIC website.
You can apply by yourself, you do not need your lawyer for that. The request should be under privacy act and its free of charge.

Thanks sashali78,

Can u please give me a link for those forms please......
Thanks a ton for quick reply....

Hi sashali78,

Is this the right form? Consent for an Access to Information and Personal Information Request – IMM 5744.

I found at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5744.asp

Please suggest.

Yup, that's the one.

I applied for my GCMS notes too (using Privacy act).
The PR application was filed for myself, my wife and kids.
Since I am the primary applicant here, do I really need to provide consent from my wife?

If yes, since my request was already made, is there anything I can do about it?
Will I get the notes pertaining to only me? Or will I hear back from them seeking the consent form?
I would think I need only my records since if there are problems I would anticipate it is only for my eligibility.

I am a July 30 applicant and am waiting patiently for MR.

Hi CECAUG1

NO, you do not need your wife's consent if you were the primary applicant. Your file will contain you family's info too.

That's correct...you do not need any consent if you're primary. By default all your dependents info comes on the GCMS notes.
