Total time since we first applied - just short of 11 months. Time after DM1 - 9 months. Time since PPR - 6 months

Those who are in process - hang in there. We all can become stronger through this process !

You must be looking forward to visiting your hubby! Let's hope this process goes really quickly for you. I know the outcome will be a positive one! :)
Hi Mrs B I saw the lawyer the day after I arrived home from visiting hubby. I was so tired but ok. Had a great visit with hubby and his Mom and friend. The lawyer looked at the caips notes and wants to request an ADR but we have to wait until I recieve the blue book which is the copy of the record. This takes 4 months (120) days from the time of notice of appeal acknowledgment so I am getting close to recieving this. Once I recieve this, I will then take it to the lawyer and go from there and request an ADR hearing which is a quick resolve. This has to be granted from the IAD (Immigration Appeal Division). They may grant thsi request or may not. If not it will go to a full hearing. Hopefully it will be an ADR and that we will come out winning and hubby can recieve his visa to Canada. Hopefully it will be fast tracked.

Congratulations to those that received their visa's to Canada God's Speed to all xo :-*

Why did they refuse you in the first place?

Thank you for the welcome Jenna! It all went so easily!! Basically there was noone in the immigration section so I went straight in and was greeted by a lovely man who signed my COPR, got me to sign it, then gave me a handbook and a pretty amusing "Immigrant" magazine (which had what I suspect was a newly landed immigrant woman on the front, who had a crazy look of thrill on her face and was holding a dollar sign?!), along with some pamphlets on numbers in Ontario, before processing my PR card at a different desk. This was all at Vancouver airport. I didn't need to worry anout the B and BA forms- they said to fill that out later when and if I had goods to follow. Whatev!
I spent an amazing five days in Vancouver and just got to Ottawa yesterday. Will find time to get my SIN and health care processed tomorrow. Unfortunately I will only be staying in Canada for another week and a half, then will be moving back more permanently around September. So unfortunately wont be able to update the Ss until I get access to a proper computer back in Australia!!

Double Rainbow- so glad to hear you are close to getting the blue book!!! I am sure they will process the ADR for you in no time! :D

Good luck to you, and congrats to all who have received their Visas already!!

Still waiting in queue for Rome embassy. Applied conjugal and my partner is Albanian with Italian PR. They are so slow. Many believe conjugal is bad but I how is of any different. Marriage is in our plans but we do not want to marry for immigration purposes. It appears fraudulent... So sad waiting and they don't update anything :(

Conjugal is the most difficult application to prove. It takes a long time. My cousin's took over 2 years and that was almost 15 years ago.

Just a quick update that I am back in Australia and have been finally able to update the spreadsheet! Congrats to all those who have landed so far. Hang in there wongchild! Hopefully you will hear something from CIC soon.

Times have changed in 15 years. We could get married now for the heck of it but we would have to reapply. There is no difference in my opinion for proof. A marriage certificate is just a piece of paper and it can be still a fraudulent case. I have faith and that's all I need.

Unfortunately your opinion is not the one that matters.

With all due respect... your statement is moronic... you are applying conjugal for immigration purposes... you are applying for immigration purposes, period, there is no other reason... that is why they are called immigration benefits, not love or genuine relationship benefits... so what is the difference if you get married for the same reason to achieve the same goal? as long as relationships are in good faith you cannot and should not down play those that marry for immigration benefits/purposes to stay together in Canada.

I'm curious, but how are you applying conjugal if you said that you could get married, but don't want to? I thought that conjugal was if it were impossible for you to get married (unable to divorce for Filipinos) and unable to be common-law due to legal barriers.
