anyone cn help me please.

Hi bersaminaangie... I cannot be certain, but if a decision has been made on your application, and they have not sent you a request to resubmit it, I would tend to think that you have your COPR on it's way - as they would usually give you a timeframe to provide the medical in. Maybe they allowed for an extension? It's hard to say, especially seeing as your medical would have expired before you even sent in your application. Maybe they misread '2011' as '2012'... I can't be sure.

Good luck though!

Is it true that medicals can be good for up to 2 years?

When I applied it was my understanding it was only valid for a year (which is why the landing date expires the same day as your medical), but maybe they have since become more lenient with the rules for VO's with longer processing times. It must be up to the discretion of individual VO's.

when I called CIC yesterday to inquire about what is going on with ECAS I asked about my wife's medical since it has expired. I was told by the agent that its better to wait until you are contacted because medicals can be acceptable for up to 2 years despite their expiry after one.

Yeah that has been happening more recently. I think they have been allowing extensions for VOs with longer processing times. I am pretty sure they give you a two month window if you need to resubmit - hopefully they waive it so you don't have to pay the extra expense though.

The July or CPP-O tracking spreadsheets notwithstanding, has any U.S. outland PR applicant that applied via CPP-Ottawa received PPR request yet?

Yes, our application was sent July 30th and we received PPR on January 29. Will be finalized by CPP-Ottawa.

Thanks. So what did they request exactly? Scanned passport, some more pictures, etc.? Maybe you can cut and paste the contents of their e-mail (obviously removing your personal info first!).

REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT COPIES

Dear XXXXXXXXXXXXX:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE PROCEEDING FURTHER. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED BY THE CASE PROCESSING PILOT – OTTAWA (“CPP-O”).

In order to continue processing your application, the following is required:

 COPY OR SCANNED IMAGE of your passport and passports of your accompanying family members, as noted below.

 Please provide details/information/proof/plans as to your intent to permanently reside in Canada

Please note:
All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable.

Passport Copies:
You are a citizen of a country that is exempted from obtaining a visa to visit Canada under Regulation 190 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. You are therefore required to send only a copy or scanned image of the photo page of your passport and of any pages indicating a validity extension or change to your personal information. You must submit these copies/scans for yourself and for all your accompanying family member(s).
DO NOT SEND YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT(S). We require copies of a VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family member. Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued on Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.

Congratulations Abuzz! I am not sure actually about the ppassports, with VISA as I am from a country which is Visa exempt, but my COPR had a picture stapled to it! Will update the spreadsheet. All the best for your landing!
