Will get it next week in the mail!! yayy... those of you behind me, you're coming next!!

What is CSQ???

Hello everyone I am new to this forum. I need your precious advise.
I sponsored my husband on July 9 2012, at P.O. box address the office received mine application package through canada post on July 11, 2012. latter I found that I am pregnant so I send my doctor note and medical reports on the same address through canada post on July 20, 2012. and mississaugua office received this on July 23, 2012. But I still didn't heard anything from mississauga. their website is saying that they are working on the files received on July 26, 2012. I am really worried about my application package. any suggestion plz waiting for your responses anxiously.
thanks

Hey DDG- CSQ is an extra steps that Quebec residents have to go through in between CIC and their VO! No worries, I believe you're not from Quebec, so you don't have to deal with it! It's just something else for us to spend money on and wait for! lol

Parri- Perhaps sending the extra paperwork delayed your process slightly... I would say give it a week or two more, and give them a call and ask!

Thank you dear for your response but on September 19, 2012 when the cic website updated that they are working on application received on July 12 I contacted one of the call representative he asked my official receipt number of fee payment and canada post tracking number he said that office received my application they must open my package though they didn't further he said that he is sending an email to check my package and that I will hear something from mississaugua within a week but still not response and today I called call centre again and representative told me that my file is not in process and that IO contacted before and her collegue sent an email but they didn't receive any response in their system yet she said for the registered mail there is another address not the P.O box address so might be my parcel is in a wrong Que. And she asked me to give them a call again on October 19 its a long period to wait. I hope they didn't lost my parcel. can they be such an irresponsible that they ask for the original documents and personal confidential information and lost it?
in your opinion how long should I wait?
did someone's application package got lost in Mississauga office? if yes then what happens?

Thanks for that info. bagelbagel81. Will wait another week and then give them a call. Getting super anxious now that they have updated the CIC website to processing July 26 applications.

It's all good- I am sure you will get approval, no worries. It just makes it harder when you see an influx of others getting theirs, some after the date that yours was received, with no rhyme or reason as to why they got processed faster (that was the case for me, anyway!) I think you will receive an approval email early next week, or even at some point on the weekend!
Good luck :)

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Hey redivivus,
Just from looking at other applicants going through New Delhi, they generally request the passport earlier on in the second stage process.
I think there is a New Delhi thread where you may be able to get more specific info, but just looking at June, for example- someone got sponsorship approval on the 1st August, then the PPR request came on the 24th Aug. I am not sure if it comes by snail mail or email- it may vary depending on the applicant. I know generally speaking the New Delhi VO is quite fast, so you may possibly get the VISA before Christmas if you case is uncomplicated, however I think things such as request for interviews or what not might delay the process, so it's really hard to say. Hopefully the New Delhi thread might have some more specific answers for you.

Thank you for your advice. I'll check out the other thread - looks like I missed it. My case is *very* uncomplicated so hopefully all goes well. It's the waiting and wondering that gets to you .. heh.

FINALLY received the e-mail stating that I've met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Now they're sending it off to London for the next step. It's nice to have some sort of e-mail communication from them!

To Kyle18: I cannot send a private message back yet, probably due to having under 10 posts so I'm not ignoring you! Just am not allowed to respond.

I don't have approval yet, I just have my AOR :)

Some good news to start the weekend, my wife has been approved to sponsor me :) The email was dated yesterday and our lawyer forwarded it to me today :)

Our application is going to Ottawa, so it's anyone's guess how long till final approval...

Hope more of you get good news this weekend too!

Congrats Jenna and JimM! Will update the spreadsheet. :)

Cheers bagel!

Any idea how long the next step will take?

Hey Jenna,

I think London VO is similar to Sydney in that its timeline is listed as 8 months. I do think it will take a lot less time than that, and depending on how straight forward your case is, you could very well be receiving your PR before Christmas. It's hard to say though! I think there may be a London thread that might give you a better indication of the current timelines there. Good luck!

Does getting a lawyer really makes a difference? I don't know, I already got one and submitted my app on 31st July 2012 so I have my fingers crossed!
