Strange thing happened this Saturday afternoon. We got a Sponsorship approval e-mail. Woo-Hoo! The strange part is the government working on a Saturday???? : I'm not complaining at all. Very grateful actually, just totally unexpected! :

Congrats Woffles and Kamar - I have updated the spreadsheet!

Would love to be able to call CIC myself, but am living outside of Canada- so looks like I will have to be patient! I have a sneaking suspicion they will be sending me snail mail too, so will have to wait another few weeks.... As long as it gets looked at eventually, I am not too worried!

E-CAS STATUS; Decision Made - App. received july 12,sponsor approval sept. 27, AOR Never, medical received june 4, VO-Manila , Calgary - Waiting For PPR.....

Hi Bagel,

If you want to call CIC try............... 001-613-944-4000 then 1,2,1,1,2,1,0 the hard part is to time the call so that you get through. I called a couple of minutes before 8am (Canadian Eastern Time) as you have go through the prompts. I was able to get through each time but holding times varied. Remember the time change if that's happening this weekend.

The "time change" will occur on the weekend of Sunday November 2nd. We are putting our clocks "back" one hour.

Hi Everyone - congratulations to all of you who have received AORs and approvals. Nothing for us yet but we are keeping our fingers crossed for this week!

Good news guys- I called the number (thanks marcopolocan) and the lovely French Canadian man on the end of the phone said my application was indeed received on the 11th July, and I apparently received an email on the 25th of September to say we have sponsor approval!

Woohoo! Onto the next stage.

I am lucky I didn't have to hold too long, and the man was very helpful and gave me my UCI number.
