Since July 1st is Thursday, i am pretty sure that most of IOs will take off on Friday to enjoy the long weekend.... This will slow down the things in NY which btw, is as it is slow in processing....

Ottawa people will be off from the office from 7/1-7/4, while Detroit people will be off from 7/3-7/5. Also, many people usually take vacation in July and August. That means people will slow down to process our application in both Ottawa VO and Detroit VO. It's not good.

Welcome to Canada, ever since this afternoon I can see and hear, loud music, Canadians dancing and enjoying. It is party time here everywhere. Red shirts and canadian flags all around. Last night the sky was illuminating with fireworks, hope to see it again this night also.
I will also be celebrating Canada day with my family - drinks, spicy dinner and dance.

By the way, why July 1 st is celebrated here :

On 1st July 1867 Canada gained independence from Britain.
